To be honest the moment he released that, I thought the opposite. So not surprised at all, although thought it would be for a fee for someone. By no means am I complaining about no fee, I think it’s a shrewd plan and still think he will spunk some money on someone.shine166 said:So, next time TS says no more signings until the end of the window.... stop moaning ffs as this has happened twice now this window.0 -
Surely not?? Thomas is skint and won’t pay the going rate…ButtleJR said:20 -
And the striker. Without a goalscorer none of it willsoapboxsam said:Good that Richard Cawley is back in the know and Sage wins the messenger award so the likes won't be stripped from him.
The great unknown is how players dovetail but at least it seems we have another Payne in the window so now on to the LB issue
matter much2 -
Assuming that the Swansea game will be Garner's likely first choice team, it will be very interesting who plays in midfield.2

Move over Ipswich, this is how you win a league in the summer window.
Yaaaaaaaaaaasssss championssaaaaaa
Seriously, know fxall about him, lots of posters here have got all excited over him, seems to score goals from midfield so good signing.2 -
When are we going to pay a fee though, where’s the pope money gone?? Look at Derby and Sheff Wed!6

Derby paid nothing all been free ..BR7_addick said:When are we going to pay a fee though, where’s the pope money gone?? Look at Derby and Sheff Wed!1 -

Would like us to start paying fees now, but would imagine asking prices will ‘reduce’ closer to the end of the window!
would like to see us hijack Wilks from Hull, and McKirdy1 -
Surely Gilbey must be closer to the exit door now?3

I wonder if our fans go around shushing each other at the game because Charlton actually aren't by far the greatest team the world has ever seen and it'll be really embarrassing if Accrington do a goal after we've said it.mendonca said:Mmmmh last time our media team decided to 'troll epically', it was a dressing room speech from JJ listing all the teams we were going to beat!

I'd like to think so but all the noises in the last week or two seem to suggest it's JFC that's on the move. Probably because there's little interest in Gilbey or Morgan.cabbles said:Surely Gilbey must be closer to the exit door now?

Guess what, I'm not convinced either as SS is going to play LB. Is there some chubby but skilful 18 year old attacking LB who can attack like Luke Shaw but has gone under the radar?

I hope we have someone imminent to bring in up top. I'm happy with Davison moving on, but not if it leaves us short up top when we play AccringtonMarcusH26 said:

Who needs strikers when you have goal scoring midfielders. Peps got it wrong again. Fancy buying a player over 6ft. Plank.

Stockley starting, Aneke on the bench and Leaburn in reserve. We do need another striker before the end of the window but it’s not that urgent. Left back is probably the position we need most at the moment before Accrington hopefullykillerandflash said:

I’ve had it with TS and his lack of fees, he needs to start buying players before their contracts run out.RonnieMoore said:

Ooh tasty.
Imagine we now also get Wilks + Stockton + Naby (can he play LB?) - a boy can but dream…

Exactly... Especially as Kevin de Bruyne was their top scorer last season, and Gundogan the year before thatgolfaddick said:Who needs strikers when you have goal scoring midfielders. Peps got it wrong again. Fancy buying a player over 6ft. Plank.
