To be honest in the past 2 years or so, we've never really looked capable of beating 'top' teams like these.

Seems we settle for the draw far too early and coast.

also can we at least admit that we don't need Kyle Walker regardless of his pace. He has at least one mistake per game guaranteed.
Walker is a much better option than James on tonight's showing

Hungary in a few days is starting to look like “must win” otherwise we are in trouble of dropping into League B.

Makes the Hungary game an important one then if we want to avoid relegation.

Doesnt matter if we win the Group or not, as it doesnt mean we'll play more or less games

We can say we played well today.

The best saves were still made by Ramsdale.

3 games against good opposition and finished with 1 goal. None from open play.
  • So many players are out of form.

However, the same problem exist that we don’t create many chances. We rely so much on Kane. Sterling & Mount missed 2 massive chances which should have been goals.

Can’t stand Southgate as a manager. Absolute hate watching our style of play. Have to hope when WC comes around we retain our defensive and organisation skills and counter attack our way to the final.

Not very good to say the least. Italy look a far better prospect in future tournaments than us on this performance. Some will blame it on end of season tiredness or sharpness but weren’t Italy in the same boat?

We definitely have a better chance at the next tournament than them.

Last 3 games point to otherwise.

We have 2 points and they have 5.

Never been a lover of friendlies and whatever you want to call it these games are basically meaningless end of season games we could do without. The new season is less than 2 months away and what the players need is a break not more games.

I was alluding to the fact that Italy haven't qualified for the world cup.

Good luck rooting for Italy at the World Cup then!!

The Nations League is itself a Tournament, but Italy (if they reach the Finals) wont be playing in it until next year.

I'm talking about the last 3 games in the Nations League (you know, the tournament we are currently in???). Not the world cup. zzzz

Agreed the best saves were made by Ramsdale but we had the better chances to score - Mount left their GK standing, Grealish's effort was tame... Whilst Sterling could easily have a youtube compliation of misses on the goal line.

So long as we get this run of poor form out the way now I don't overly mind too much, relegation wont be great as the pressure heaped on Southgate will be immense, the majority of England fans are eagerly waiting for him to fuck up

We're effectively in the Qualifying stage of the Tournament we are in - Italy / Germany / Hungary wont win anything at the end of September.

That's like saying the World Cup group stage doesn't count.
