Least we're passing the ball a lot better tonight... Better than what we have done this International break

Abraham is doing well, him and Sterling seem to have a bit of interplay.

    Mount is crap
For some reason he seems to be Southgate's favourite.

We need to find a third left back too, this Trippier experiment just gets worse every game.

can I just say... Imagine being a first choice centre back in the team that won Serie A in Italy of all places, and being kept out of the national team by Maguire...

Rice gets better for England each time he plays

Another poor shot from Mount to add to the growing list.

Fairly decent game for the first half - Should be ahead, yet lucky not to be behind

Labored slow build up play from England. Crisp fluid passing from Italy going forward. Italy the better team but not much in it. Like Ramsdale over Pickford, he’s kept us in it

Grealish seems to only want to be an impact sub for us - reminds me a bit of Darren Anderton

Very labored in our build up. Don't know who has that spark to create something special

Again ate build up play very slow. We do not look capable of the opportunistic sudden break forward in 3 or 4 passes.
Also to many passes and  crosses into the Itlian penalty area poor

Dont mind the laboured build up... Find it more patient myself, if the opposition dont have the ball they cant score - But we need to bloody take these chances, we're creating opportunities (decent ones at that) so its not like we're passing aimlessly

Grealish's end product had been dreadful

Agree with that. Also been too selfish trying to beat 3 or 4 players instead of laying the ball off after enough.

Yes and I have notpraised him either. Kane on now and giving the Italians more trouble than either Grealish or Sterling.

also can we at least admit that we don't need Kyle Walker regardless of his pace. He has at least one mistake per game guaranteed.
  • Honestly can't remember us ever beating Italy. Not sure what our record is against them but our wins must be pretty rare
