    Hopefully they'll come into the Sport as their own teams, rather than just as engine suppliers.

    As Red Bull have been linked with Porsche, and McLaren with Audi

    The likes of Oscar Piastri has shown that we certainly need more teams on the grid

    I believe both are looking to take over a current team or be engine partners unfortunately. The only real hope of an entirely new team is with Andretti, but again they would rather buy an existing team.

    2026 the grid will probably be:

    Ferrari
    Porsche Red Bull Racing
    Audi McLaren
    Mercedes AMG
    Andretti Autosport
    Aston Martin
    Sauber Alfa Romeo
    Alpha Tauri Porsche
    Williams
    Alpine

    Though I'm hoping that VW group joining spurs on another car manufacturer or two to join

    Almost certainly, I don't think Gene Haas has his heart in it, and Andretti stepping in saves themselves £100m in a new entry fee, and keeps alive the "America's team" dream. I wouldn't be at all surprised if they also teamed up and called the team Andretti Haas Racing or something similar, happens a lot in Indycar for instance

    Do hope not, it would be too crazy for Monaco (even though they race there)

    But its great watching F2 and F3 because of how big the field is

    Hmmm much better session from Mercedes today.

    Deceptive again due to running a few setups, or have they found something that fixes the car, as they certainly havent been porpoising

    Tomorrow will be super interesting. I thought this circuit might be a bit of a fad but it seems a better version of Sochi so far

    Track looks good with quite a few areas for overtaking. Not sure about that marina with the fake water though!

    Sochi is actually a fantastic comparison with the slightly awkward and fiddly third sector. Be interesting to see how it actually races , can see a few Safety Cars being needed with the amount of errors we've seen so far

    Not surprised that the Miami GP has been pretty meh

    More focus on the celebs during the Grid walk and most of the weekend than actual racing - TV coverage has been absolutely shocking.

    Ridiculous good luck from Russell though to keep up his record of finishing in the top five every race so far - Excellent strategy from his half of the garage.

    Lewis hasn’t had much luck with safety cars over the past six months. Saying that, over the past 18 months his side of the garage haven’t made the best call on a few occasions.

    Thought that race was trudging to nothingness before the SC , have absolutely no idea what Gasly was doing after running wide, just seemed to have no awareness of where he was. The midfield scrap seemed to produce some okay racing but there wasn't too much going on out front , seemed like Leclerc was never really going to get in the position to really make a proper move post SC.

    Be interesting to see if these new cars can even get good racing out of Barcelona in 2 weeks. That very long start finish straight should play well into Red Bull's hands unless Ferrari have some kind of upgrade package.

    For the first time this season I was genuinely bored watching it. Didn't enjoy it at all, the SC allowed a hint of excitement, but it failed to deliver. 

    A lot of hype for very little delivery. Meh.

     A world leading technical F1 team have test driven and put a car out as ready for competitive competition that is so bad and far from what’s expected from their standards as to be laughable.
    That Hamilton would have even agreed to drive it knowing it’s failings unless he knows something the rest of us don’t.
    Finally, I am finding it hard to believe that they are taking so long to sort things out.
    Does this all add up…..well if nothing else it’s quite extraordinary to the point of being unbelievable? 🤔🤔🤔

    The circuits surface really didn't help overtaking, even down the long straights into 11 and 17 the line was so dusty and dirty that any car trying to go around the outside just ended up flying off the track. They need to resurface several corners at least with far grippier tarmac, especially turns 1 and 2, 6, 7 and 8, 11 and 12, and 17. 

    Ferrari need to find a way to still be quick in the corners but trim off a bit of drag for the straights, however I expect them to excel in Barcelona and Monaco, and later on in the season places like Hungary will play into their philosophy, whereas Red Bull will have the advantage in Canada, Austria and Baku at least

    To what end though? There's no benefit in them playing games is there?

    Nope not at all, they just went down a different route with the car that they believe will work long term, however they didn't envisage the level of porpoising and to what end it would effect the cars (no amount of wind tunnel running will show this properly)

    When the car doesn't porpoise, it's quick, however Red Bull and Ferrari have managed to make cars that work pretty well off the bat.

    Remember Mercedes have the least amount of wind tunnel time due to finishing first in the constructors championship, a way to help level the field somewhat, and it shows with Haas having the most amount of time to work on the car pushing them back up towards the midfield.

    Whoever works out the porpoising and eliminates it completely first, will probably win the championship, or at the very least push themselves up the table significantly. 

    I'm a huge Ferrari fan so I'm hoping they can work it out best, however I think if Red Bull work out their engine and electronic gremlins that they've had, Max will win this season at a relative canter

    I think that Hamilton may have his work cut out justifying a huge pay rise next time round, Russell seems to have him in his pocket at the mo.

    I know a lot don't like Lewis but has him in his pocket? Come off it. He's beat him 4 out of 5 races and 3 of those were due to luck with safety cars.

    Hamilton out drove RusselL in Miami. It is impossible to even debate the fact.

    Yup, all of them, he's beaten Hamilton 4-1 and in the other race finished directly behind him when he would not have been allowed to overtake. He's also out qualified Hamilton 4-1, after switching from a poorly performing team, into a new team geared solely towards Hamilton and a car Hamilton would have given input to.

    All Hamilton seems to have done is whine, complain and bitch, (and decry having to remove his nose stud). Used to be a big fan, but nowadays he is so very far up his own arse. Have you heard his (admittedly edited) radio transmissions?, constantly arguing, over ruling his team, and bitching. I think he is supremely talented, and will be back, but I'm sure Toto will meantime try and get him to refocus on the job in hand.

    If you've watched all five then you clearly haven't understood what you were seeing or haven't been paying attention.

    Russell is laughably lucky so far in the first 5 races, a mixture of well timed safety cars and people around him crashing have led to his strong start to the season, and not much more than that.

    I don't like Hamilton at all, but he's been super unlucky compared to Russell this year (I think he used up all his luck in the past couple of seasons, like when he should have crashed out in Imola last season and well timed red flags and safety cars for the most part keeping him in the title fight)
