For all their quality, these teams always seem to get away with a lot - sneaky fouls galore.1

Part 2 next Saturday in the FA Cup1
-
7 English players involved today, which is decent I think considering these are the best two sides in football.8

Worth noting that grealish came on and gave the perfect example of why he's not playing much for City.
Had a wide open player on the left to thread the ball into, chose to run straight into a Liverpool player instead and lost the ball.
Went from a cult hero last year to a bit of a forgotten man this season.0 -

But joking aside, on three or four occasions when Man City had the ball at the back in the second half Liverpool had six players pressing four Man City players. Surely a ball over the top means it's instantly six against four the other way?
I know these teams love to play out from the back, but if they just mixed it up occasionally I'm sure it would get some reward.
I think I'll give Pep a ring .....

I saw Spurs were linked with him over the weekend but I can't see him playing on the right of a three, as thats where Romero plays.ValleyGary said:Son and Kane at it again today. Great to watch when it clicks.
Kulusevki (christ, how many times can I mis-spell his name in a season?) and Bentancur have been nothing short of brilliant for us since Paratici brought them in for Conte.
For an agreed £25m for Kulu and only £13m for Bentancur, we've robbed Juventus.
Feel really sorry for Matt Doherty this morning after it was confirmed he's picked up a serious knee injury in the 1st half on Sat.1 -
Great finish by Trossard, well done Brighton!0

Slightly puzzled that there are 3 Saturday 3pm games today, yet it's ok to have the FA Cup semi final on TV at the same time2 -
Spurs have got away with it today0

Using my free hit chip to bring in and captain Ronaldo worked well3

A lot of impressive performances from Liverpool tonight but i think we've seen in the last few weeks why Gomez is out of favour at Liverpool. Matip has been impressive all season but now Konate (who is 2 years younger than Gomez) is getting a run of games he's finally getting the chance to show why Liverpool chased him for a year, the guy is a beast.
22 appearances for Liverpool and he's never lost.2 -
Lookman has another goal this afternoon - Hitting a nice bit of form for Leicester
Wonder if it'll be a move that'll be turned permanent in the summer - He's under contract @ Leipzig until 20240 -
Dreadful penalty by Cornet for Burnley0

Nice timing for Newcastle.0

Amazing that Newcastle are level on points with Palace despite having played a game more.

Over the last 15 games they're 6th, ahead of Man U, same points at Spurs and only 2 less than Chelsea.
Over the last 10 games, they're 5th, just 2 points less than Man City.
Howe has done an incredible job there.4 -
Plans are in motion to apparently introduce half time interviews with managers next season.0
-
BT used to interview managers on the touchline while the game was going on in the National League, not sure if they still do this.0
-
Why can't everyone just leave the game alone. Nobody wants half-time interviews. Nobody wants the new Champions league format. Grr3

Looks as though City have won the race to sign Haaland, and they've also announced that Julian Alvarez (the current south american player of the year) will join them in the summer from River Plate. He was originally going to join after the Argentinian season finished in October but City have paid 1.5m extra to get him sooner. Two incredible attacking talents, aged 21 & 22. No wonder there are new rumours that Guardiola might extend his contract.
I'd expect this means one or both of Sterling and Jesus moves on.1 -
Phil Jones makes his 3rd league appearance since 2019 away at Anfield!3

Jones should play more if only for the fact that he is such a "lucky" charm. All of his Premier League matches in the last three years:
Wolves (H) Lost 1-0
Burnley (H) Lost 2-0
Sheffield United (A) Drew 3-3
Cardiff (H) Lost 2-0
Huddersfield (A) Drew 1-1
Everton (A) Lost 4-0

Liverpool by 3 goals0

Hate Man Utd. Don’t want Liverpool to win the league. Hopefully it will be a ten goal thriller.0
