Managerial sackings, comings and goings

Looks like its going to happen
Feel their problems go beyond the Manager - A bit like here at Charlton, but based on what he's achieved with Ajax, think he could be the sort of appointment they need.
Whoever goes there it will take a couple of years minimum to sort out the mess, though of course 'mess' with a club like Man U is a relative term.
Also, the new man would be well advised to insist that the increasingly senile one time genius Fergie, is kept well away from the players and the dressing room1 -
At least he appears to be a manager who puts a lot of effort into coaching himself rather than delegating.
They badly need that, whoever is taking first team training etc under the last couple of managers is failing badly.0 -
Dyche sacked by Burnley.
That's a shocker.0 -

ten Hag will fail there for the same reason previous Ajax managers fail in the PL. They come from a one or two team league that out-spends their rivals 5-1 and thus are never really tested much. Also they play one style and the PL does not play that way, as teams are more practical and thus struggle to adjust. Ajax has a great Academy while most PL clubs just buy the players they want. Ten Hag would be great if the goal is to change the culture at ManU from top to bottom and he has a 3-4 years runway. But it never is that way, especially there.Let's see how previous Ajax managers did once they left Ajax for the PL....Frank de Boer... lasted 6 matches at Palace before sacked, LOL.Ronald Koeman.... lasted a bit more than one season at Everton before sackedLouis Van Gaal... made it almost three seasons at ManU and had a 52% winning percentage and one FA cup.I give him somewhere between 30-70 matches before he fails.1

Van Gaal is a brilliant manager, after Ajax he won league titles in 3 countries before arriving at Man U, including winning the Dutch league with unfancied AZ.2 -
Jody Brown has been sacked by Billericay.
That'll give Welling a bit more hope in terms of survival - I know that Billericay arent owned by that nut job anymore, but still a surprise, less than a week after winning some silverware0 -

Manchester United have appointed Ajax coach Erik ten Hag as their next manager.
The Dutchman, 52, will take over from interim boss Ralf Rangnick at the end of this season on a three-year deal which can be extended by a year.
Rangnick, who replaced the sacked Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in November, is set to move into a consultancy role.

Think he could do very well given time, and backing to restructure the team etc.
Probably won't be though as they're a mess....0 -

He's going to be given (according to reports) as much as 200m to spend + what he makes from sales, so he'll clearly bring in players who suit his way of playing. Wouldn't be surprised to see 2-3 Ajax players follow him.

Imagine 2 seasons would get them back in the top 4. Would probably have to spend £800m to compete with the top 2. City are going to get Haaland who can United get is anywhere near that quality?0
-
I guess he will want to keep Van Der Beek now, since he was his star at Ajax.0

Again Liverpool are a good example, Mane, Firmino and Salah weren't cheap but they weren't megastar record singings either, cost only a bit more for all 3 than United spent on Pogba.
That's the type of signing needed, whether they have the scouts for it, who knows?0 -
