Think he could do very well given time, and backing to restructure the team etc.
Probably won't be though as they're a mess....
Will he last the 3 years of the contract? I doubt it...
Same, it's got "lost the dressing room" written all over it when they sulk at him dropping crap players and trying to make other ones work hard.
I think he'll do quite well, as players will now know they can't get away with downing tools and it's his way or they're out of the door. Characters like Pogba, Martial etc will be gone, along with as much dead wood as they can shift.
He's going to be given (according to reports) as much as 200m to spend + what he makes from sales, so he'll clearly bring in players who suit his way of playing. Wouldn't be surprised to see 2-3 Ajax players follow him.
Imagine 2 seasons would get them back in the top 4. Would probably have to spend £800m to compete with the top 2. City are going to get Haaland who can United get is anywhere near that quality?

They need to go back to getting younger players who will get better.
Again Liverpool are a good example, Mane, Firmino and Salah weren't cheap but they weren't megastar record singings either, cost only a bit more for all 3 than United spent on Pogba.
That's the type of signing needed, whether they have the scouts for it, who knows?

If they want to get back to anywhere near where they were, they need to keep him and get a bit of stability. They have made a complete hash of the managerial appointments since Ferguson
Seeing a lot of comments on Facebook and Twitter from United fans saying they should just get rid, he's useless etc.
Are their fans that thick? He's been poor as a manager but is stopping that anyway, but he's exactly what they need above Ten Hag - overseeing a change in approach given his previous record as DOF
He's had 6 months to look at the issues, and every statement he is making about what they need to do is absolutely bang on.

Typical modern football fans.
All clamouring for his appointment because he had a decent pedigree. Let's not forget 95% of fans had probably never seen his teams play before so all they were basing their opinion on was the media hype.
Now because he hasn't won every game since his appointment he's described as useless and fans want rid.
It will be exactly the same with Ten Haag. Not many fans will watch Ajax nearly enough to know whether this guy is any good or not. Thery are just basing their opinions on what the media tells them.
I saw Gary Neville saying Ten Haag would need 4-5 seasons to make his mark and challenge for the Premier League. If he doesn't hit the ground running he will be lucky to get 4-5 months.

John Yems suspended by Crawley for use of discriminatory language towards the players.
Very rare for a manager to last the full length of his contract.

Surprised by that, dont think that Queens Park Rangers are making the best decision there.
But will continue his Consultancy with Manchester United until 2024.
Maybe the 'they've taken us as far as they can' quotes will come out?
Ditto Warburton really
Manchester United interim manager Ralf Rangnick has been named Austria boss.
Rangnick will still take on his consultancy role with United as planned at the end of this season.

Fleetwood Town can confirm Stephen Crainey will return to his role with the club's Under-23s following a spell as First Team Head Coach.
Crainey took charge of the side in December following the departure of Simon Grayson picking-up 26 points during his 29 game stint at the helm.
