Grand National 2022

For me that was the most enjoyable Grand Nationals since I was a kid. It used to be a bit of a tradition like in many houses my dad showing me the paper and us both picking horses mostly just on liking the name and my dad sticking a few quid on each way. I even won a couple of pounds using this system. My dad has long since passed on and a guess with him some of the nostalgic charm of the race for me.

@PeanutsMolloy  I have enjoyed immensely reading your posts over that last few weeks since the thread caught my notice. I love the way that you have developed such a well honed model and are so free to share not only the predictions from it and the methodology. I have found your posts both fascinating and enlightening. After following your predictions and taking advantage of @bobmunro’s attractive each way offer I not only thoroughly enjoyed watching the race yesterday but also came away with a 20% profit in a race that everyone refers to as a lottery. Fantastic work and thank you for sharing it with us.

Agreed. Used to go racing a lot in the 80s, and the GN thread is definitely rekindling my interest. 👍 
Used to go to Sandown, Kempton, Newbury, and Windsor evening meetings, and read the Sporting Life and Sporting Chronical. 

Is it just me, i don't feel i have been credited for the eachway part of the bet? I could be wrong but i haven't noticed it hit my account. Is there anyway to check without speaking to customer service/ chat?

Me too. I've sent 3 email messages via the Bet365 website and no reply.
Hoping they will resolve it before I have to waste more of my time attempting to pursue it.
Problem is how to pursue it if the email complaint doesn't even elicit a reply.
The Live-Chat function is utterly useless at even acknowledging such an issue (just tells me the offer's finished - I know that!) and I'm buggered if I can see a phone option to raise the issue.

Well hopefully if its not just us, they must be looking into it. I often find ringing them up is best to sort things but also have shit phone signal at home, so hopefully we can get some form of an update or that will be the next course of action.

When you say the "each way part of the bet" I assume you mean the place part of the winning bet and not the refund of half of the stake as the latter is automatically done when you placed the bet i.e. for a £5 EW bet they only take £5 although once you reached the maximum £250 there is no notification that you have done so and the £10 would be taken at that point with no subsequent refund. 

Personally i dont remember it being credited, i could be mistaken but i am sure i would have noticed. 

I only put 3 * £10 bets (£5ew on each), so the limit will not apply, also one got a return so only expecting £10 back, but still feel like either i have made an error, or it hasn't been credited. 

Just trying to find out the easiest way to find out if i am honest.

Mine came in instantly and I immediately lost it on Australian horse racing. Who do I complain to about that?

Australians? to be fair I am not complaining, just put on here to see if anyone else has not been credited. I am now in two minds if it's my mistake (didn't see?) or not.

Probably the only way i can find out is to call them.

Thank you for your response Bertie, i did place pre midday on the day. I bet them a few days before as soon as the promotion was released, it's very possible my mistake if i am honest. But i will still get them to clarify, normally i would have expected to notice it instantly crediting. Also it did say if it loses, so surely that part means it might settle after? 

either way only small ball, just if i am due a £10 i can put on something else lol 

My understanding of it was it wasn't conditional on the result of the bet, it was effectively an instant refund on half the stake of the bet. Like anything app/IT based errors can occur so worth you checking with them like you say. Good luck getting an answer

I just looked at my balance after placing each bet to make sure that they only took half the stake. Probably the only way to check is to look at your deposits and then settled bets and work it back from there.

 

I complied with all the terms, placed in the time window. 
Placed x1 £75 each way (total debited to my balance £150) and x1 £50 each way (total debited £100).
The terms said it might take a few hours to credit refund (max £125 due) but was not immediately refunded and have not been since.
3 email messages pointing this out and not even an acknowledgement of any of my messages.
I've been a big fan of Bet365 but this isn't on tbh, not least because I only placed the £75 e/w bet because of the offer and it was a losing bet.

I'll see what I can find out. I know there was a major systems issue on Saturday (as reported on here) that is still having a lag effect and on Customer Service responses (there were tens of thousands of emails). I can assure you the refund element will be credited.

Can I ask if anyone is still waiting for bets to be settled?

That does sound strange. The other issue with Bet365 is that they have closed (be it temporary or otherwise) their phone service - I just tried 0800 028 8365 - so live chat would seem to be the only option although as you say this doesn't seem to be satisfactory either.  Are you on twitter because they are responding to queries raised on there?

The phone service has been suspended for a long time as a result of so many contact centre staff working remotely during the pandemic - telephony systems are laced with security requirements and impossible (at the moment) to replicate remotely.

Also worth noting that the offer ended (am pretty sure) at midday on Saturday so if you placed your bets after that, there's no refund!
