Leicester seemingly don't have many/any covid cases, their list of missing players is down to a long injury list plus players away at AFCON. They had enough players (including a few kids) to beat a Premier league team 4-1 at the weekend.
However premier league rules state that if they don't have 13 senior outfield players available then the game can be called off. Why on earth aren't they made to play the game with the squad that featured on Saturday?
Although I agree they managed to put a first 11 out and beat Watford and apparently have 2/3 covid cases max the rest are injures and AFCON duty which is ridiculous that they can call a game of for that0 -
Oldham Athletic have postponed Saturday's League Two home game with Leyton Orient because of injuries and positive Covid-19 cases in their squad.

Maybe they'll have a replacement in by the time the game is played0 -
They're going to have a serious fixture pile up if they don't get things sorted soon. Already got 3-4 games in hand on some sides.0

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/60003638Arsenal have requested the postponement of Sunday's north London derby with Tottenham at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium because of a lack of available players. The Gunners said they have "reluctantly taken this step" because of injuries, positive Covid-19 cases and players away with their countries at the Africa Cup of Nations.0

what a load of crap. Arsenal’s fault for signing those players. Not as if they didn’t know they’d be off to the ACN when they signed them.0
-
Blame the rules that are set up for teams to do this.1

The Premier League has recorded the lowest weekly number of new positive Covid-19 cases since 5 December.
In the seven days up to and including Sunday 16 January, there were 33 new positive cases among players and staff, from 13,625 tests.
It is the third successive week that the number of positive tests has fallen.

Burnley v Watford confirmed as now postponed.
Burnley have only played 2 league games since 12 December and have 5 games in hand on some teams.
Luckily they're not in Europe and are out of the FA Cup so should be able to reschedule games quite easily.0 -

Burnley v Leicester was also called off at the weekend because of Burnley but i think all the others were down to other clubs. They also had a game called off because of snow.2

It's an awkward precedent, as clubs can effectively call off games because of a lack of senior players, even without large numbers of Covid cases, which has never been allowed before. Middlesbrough got relegated after a points deduction for not playing a game

Should have had to be a minimum number of covid cases, not just players available.

Unfortunately they can't go back on it now mid-season.0 -

That's even more ridiculous. How can you change the rules mid-season when some clubs have already benefitted from those rules?!1
