Lincsaddick said:Man U is a club in great turmoil. The owners want to stop fecking about and appoint a proper manager and managing director .. ones who can get rid of all the dead wood, the arrogant and lazy wasters and then sort out the remainder of what is obviously a talented squad that has had no on field discipline for months, has too many over inflated egos and has been poorly managed, to say the least, for the last five years or so ..they missed a big opportunity in not appointing Conte
i m o although he is still a terrific player on his day and is still scoring goals, it was a BIG mistake to re-sign Ronaldo, he has unbalanced the squad and has (I suspect) upset a lot of the other players ..
Look at Spurs for example, Conte is a top level manager, he's won a lot of trophies, their players know that and respect him, they know they have to fight for places or Conte will have them gone.
United's players probably look at Rangnick and think 'who are you'. Ok he's respected to a point within the game, but he's done nothing at a top club, he's won nothing of note, so what credentials does he have to manage one of the worlds biggest clubs? On top of that, they know it's highly likely he'll be gone or moved upstairs in the summer so they're probably not going to fight for him like they would for Conte. Very poor forward thinking from United's board.
Not sure i agree on Ronaldo though, i don't think any club in the world would've turned down the chance to sign him so can't really blame United for getting him. He is far from the problem, they have major issues in midfield, and their defence looks shaky every game so those problems need fixing before United can progress. However the forward planning is very poor again, how have United ended up with their 2 main strikers who in February will turn 35 and 37?!2 -
Lukaku and Tuchel are all pally pally again .. wonder if Tuchel whispered the magic words (stop fucking about or I'll stop your wages)0

So true2
-
I don't. City are just another Big 6 club.0
-
I dont mind Man City as much as the rest.
Their fans dont seem to have a sense of entitlement yet, whilst they're the one top side who hate UEFA
Top six fans mock them for being unable to fill the Etihad
But at least they dont have plastic / tourist fans, or just less of them than the rest.
Am sure that opinion will change over time1 -
What are the chances of multiple false positives?
Good timing for them with Salah + Mane missing during the AFCoN. Scandalous.0 -

Only Man City fans I know are decent lads too. Proper miserable mancs. Be interesting to see what that fanbase is like in 10 years1 -

Plus if Abu Dhabi hadn't come along we'd just have had more years of United and Chelsea winning things, and Liverpool would've been the dominant side of the past 3-4 years.1 -

No longer a game 3 days after Chelsea.
Liverpool now have Firmino and Matip (potentially Allisson too) back for the rearranged Arsenal game. They would have been out had they played it at the original date.1 -
Who knows, they might have different injuries instead. And they won't have their African players back by the 20th anyway0

2nd leg was originally at Anfield, but now it will be Arsenal.0 -

Lose the first game, you have to go for it and get countered.1 -

It does beg the question though, how can you have "a lot of false positives", aren't the players tested daily? Surely if there was any doubt, then they'd have shown up as negative in a second test?

Otherwise why do teams winning their groups in Europe get home advantage for second legs in the knockouts?0 -

Away goals don't exist in the League Cup.0 -
And of course by not playing the EFL Cup match this week, the Arsenal players were nice and rested for their FA Cup match today0

Honestly, I hate that club so much. Klopp is one of the biggest dickheads in football.2

If so, Liverpool should get a huge fine for causing a game to be postponed because of this.1 -

BBC have revealed their team of the season so far based on readers ratings:
Ramsdale, Lamptey, Duffy, Van Dijk, Robertson, Rice, Kante, Gallagher, Salah, Havertz, Antonio
Who on earth gives these ratings? Clearly a lot of brighton fans and not many City fans.
How can the team of the season so far not feature a single player from the runaway leaders? Cancelo, Dias and Bernardo should all be in there. TAA as well.
Based on all the ratings so far, Havertz has apparently been the second best player in the league behind Salah!

Let's see if this will be given. Unfortunately for Arsenal they haven't had a flurry of false positive cases unlike another rival.0 -
Ah that’s disappointing- was looking forward to theNorth London derby on Sunday.0
-
I guarentee this will be the game where the Premier League makes it go ahead. Liverpool + others get free rides while others are made examples of.0

They've only got one out due to Covid.
They knew all along anout AFCON.
Ok, they've got a few injuries but we've got Sonny, Ronero and Dier out with 2-3 playing through knocks.
They should be forced to play it.
They always seem to get an extra rest day when.they play us and the one time it works in out favour, they go crying to the PL. They made us play through Lasagnagate FFS.

The impact of COVID-19 infections on a club’s squad, as well as injuries, illness and those isolating, and the number of players available on the squad list and any Under-21 players with appropriate experience. Where a club cannot field 13 outfield players and a goalkeeper either from its squad list or its appropriately experienced Under-21 players, the match will be postponed.
Blame the poor writing of the law, but if you have players out with injury bringing the squad number down below 13 outfield players. You have to postpone.0
