The videos from Trafalgar Square and Wembley Way are insane. What an occasion, I’m glad we are milking the whole thing. Incredible scenes still 4/5 hours before kick off.7

I don't think i've agreed with a single lineup Southgate has selected all tournament but not about to question him now.
Bold move again though as Saka has been really good.8 -
The analytical set up that England possess at St George’s Park is the best in the world by all accounts. I honestly think this decision would have been almost pre-planned should we face the Italians at any stage and tweaked slightly based on recent performance. I have every faith this is the right move.4

It will mean 3 at the back with Walker, Maguire and Stones. Shaw as the wing back and Trippier as a Wing back who I doubt will get forward as much as Shaw. As we all know if Italy get proactive then the 3 becomes a five at the back and you just hope when and if you turn over the ball you have some tempo in transition.
3-4-2-1 but England play best when Sterling and Kane take turns being the 1 because it makes it harder for the defence as the two strikers keep changing roles. Plus sterling likes to run at defences from deeper and Kane is a good passer when he drops.
Big call but I guess the Young's legs of Saka can come on after 60 minutes or so depending on the state of play and score.
We used 3 at the back against Germany.
I just don't want to feel we didn't try to expose their aging defence.
It's Southgate's gig and it's his call.

Something tells me London will be needing a little lick of paint tomorrow morning 😬

The scenes right now in this country is EXACTLY what 'It's coming home' stands for in my book. An event that unites the country and makes everyone feel joy. I am desperate for us to win but ultimately this is what I wanted to see, a team that unites our great country and gives everyone an occasion to remember, where we are all reading from the same script and for 90 minutes or more our backgrounds and opinions don't stop us cheering on the same team for the same cause.
Come on England!6 -

Being a geek I watched the semi final again and for a while we had 11 in our own half from open play and in some of our attacks we had all our outfield players in the Danish half with Stones the deepest defender on the half line. This is happening more and more with coaches in recent time.
The formation alway changes if you are attacking or defending and that is why coaches demand a quick transition before the opposition regroup.2 -

Head in hands moment. Italy will love that midfield battle.
In Southgate we trust though0 -
It’ll be a cagey game with both teams having the utmost respect for each other, probably decided by a mistake(s) or moment(s) of brilliance and rub of the green. C’mon England 🏴!3

I don’t mind it. Italy effectively attack with a five so he’s matching them.0
