    I’d keep Phillips and Rice.

    I’d change the Fullbacks (maybe keep Walker?). Chilwell would take this side up a gear.

    No complaints. Really good performance. Southgate has put together a team that looks more like a club side.

    Totally agree. For 17 he is so combative. 

    Sadly he’s competing with Phillips and Mount who both played well today.

    We are so so so much better when we play with a bit of attacking intent and up the pace a bit. 

    No one had a bad game, but I still don’t understand the Trippier decision.

    Yep. I thought he'd picked a bang average teM, but we played well, and there were a couple of chances to put that to bed second half. Happy to be proved wrong. Even happier we won.

    We can improve and will need to, but important to get off to a good start and we did enough to win. I was critical of Phillips and Sterling starting but to be fair both did well particular Phillips who was my MOM.

    Not a game that will live in the memory after about 6pm tonight but they did what they had to do. Phillips was ace in that role. Rice nice and tidy, Mings looked good and we never really looked under real pressure at any point.

    I will tell you what unlike Stevie G MBE, Fat Frank and Scholes, Foden, Mount and Bellingham could play in the same team for years.

    Is this the best group of young players we have ever had?

    Good win for England.

    Think people need to forget about the Croatia of 2018, three years on this team is a shadow of that side.

    Good win for me and well deserved.  Phillips MOTM, loved seeing him get stuck in. Croatia not the team they were 3 years ago, but we still had to beat them.  I’ve watched countless tournaments in my life time where England have let me down.  We should be buoyed by this as we only need to get a win against Scotland (which will be a different type of challenge), and we’re in the knock outs.

    We won and we have never done that before in the first game of the Euro's.

    Croatia were Runners up in the World cup after beating England.
    We didn't play Turkey or Russia.

    That's the biggest thing, over the years we have individual talent and great players but not a great team.

    We have that team ethos with these younger players who all grew up together.

    Certainly the best group of youngsters that we dont have to worry about trying to put in the same team like we have done.

    Bellingham will be a great player, my mate at work knows him well and had followed him since he was a kid, he has the X factor and is still only 17! Phillips was excellent, well taken goal by Sterling, but I'm still worried by Stones and why Trippier at LB? Walker I didn't think played well enough to start the next game!
