Whilst it’s undoubtedly clear (and probably was from day one) thst Southall and his crew were very bad news for us, I don’t think we’ll ever know for sure where Nimer is concerned.charltonbob said:
Not sure what to make of TN after this, was he just stupid/naive/ caught up by mouthalls lies. He does seem to have been "working" with/ taking into confidence Tracey, & he brought the Rumanian lawyer in who it appears to have been a big help in sorting things within the club. Or do I have the wrong end of the stick ? Whatever, thanks to all who played a massive part in clearing the way forward to where we are today.RedRobin said:That article makes me both proud and angry! That prick really did think he was something didn’t he? Lee Amis better not show his face down the Valley ever again! Scumbags the lot of them. It changes my perception of TN but only slightly. He definitely wasn’t what he was made out to be in the initial release to the fans, nor what we hoped he would be. What percentages of him is solid access to real wealth / blag by connection/ outright con artist is up for speculation. I think you could counter a fairly convincing argument for all three but without nailing any one of them for sure.Just very glad it is all over. The club is still standing, in the football league and at The Valley, and that’s all that matters. I wasn’t convinced of that at one point.

The haircut story makes you sick to your stomach. And the six figure extension to the directors box. How the hell was he allowed to do what he did?4

Wonderful stuff . There must be something we can do collectively to that Tracey, Mick and Olly1

It would be good to see some video footage? Even if it's for a laugh as it will hardly go against anybody in life.
Perhaps even uploading it from a new Southall dedicated Twitter account ;-)1 -
Least it shouldnt require that big of an enterprise to ban those peopleSporadicAddick said:2 -

Sums up Southall and what he sees as important.
The haircut story (£150 charged to the club) does as well.

I'd recommend people to continue to regard Nimer/Nemer with utmost suspicion, for reasons I'll lay out. Before that though,I'd just say that I have huge sympathy for those CAFC staff having to make the difficult call of Nimer v Southall, and in their shoes I'd probably have made the same call.charltonbob said:

That said, we need to remember the following:
1. We know beyond reasonable doubt that Nimer did not put in any money to the club at all.
2. We have reasonable evidence that he took, or expected to take, money out, in the form of 'fees', and likely, extravagant expenses as well. I'd very much like to know whether or not the bill for that dinner with the players and all found its way back to the club, for example, ditto his first class tickets from the Emirates.
3. (Most damaging, and also most puzzling). ADBD. It was presented to us as "his" "investment fund". He appointed Heller to it as CEO, while Hirst and van Seventer (standing to the left of Nimer in those photos) were presented as executive directors. Each of them were given three of the six cars to drive around in. This means that Nimer was exercised by lavish expenditures on, mainly, the cars, but three of them were driven by his own "employees"! You all see the slight difficulty with that, I hope...(although how to explain it, is still something we are struggling with)
4. Nimer went to Romania and teamed up with Florica. Florica is a notorious rogue in Romania who still has to pay back €10m to the State. Mihail was Florica's sidekick. I now accept that, for whatever reason, Mihail did decide to do right by Charlton. We have parted on friendly terms on LinkedIn, and I hope one day he will pitch up in Prague (quite likely if he gets back into Romanian football) when I hope to ask him why he remained loyal to Florica in the face of all the evidence. But I don't think Nimer had much to do with Mihail per se.
5. Van Seventer, Hirst, Southall and Farnell, have had long business-based friendly relationships, although Farnell seems to specialise in falling out with such friends. But here is the key one. Van Seventer - Nimer; they go back to at least 2008.
Whatever else we do therefore, let's not make it tribal. Not "he was the bad guy, he was the good guy" I don't any more even think it was two rival gangs. As you can see, they all interlock in various ways, at various times. NImer has loads of questions to answer but is probably out of easy reach and scrutiny. Unlike the others, happily...23 -
Great post @PragueAddick and agree 100%. But whatever the reason Nimer did atleast assist in the end towards their downfall dont you think ? Maybe not for any other reason than getting even with the rest of the scum but still assisted.
Anyone heard what has happened with Farnell over the law society investigation? Have I missed an announcement2 -

Football!
Feckin great ain't it? Stirs passions and loyalties, AND it is a family, just like a family and woe betitide anyone messing with family...
Heroes the lot of em.1 -
Well you have to ask about motivation for his “assistance”. My own view, and no apologies for it being sceptical, is that he saw a clear and likely path of a payout from Thomas but not from Elliott or whoever Farnell was working with. Someone might say, “but Nimer brought Farnell in”. I dont believe that, I believe that Farnell approached Nimer.AndyG said:Great post @PragueAddick and agree 100%. One year ago time goes by so quick. Southall was a wrong one it just took certain people sometime to work out how best to deal with him.
Those people who fought for the club ,ONE BIG THANK YOU.from me i can say nomore.2 -
Just a hunch, but I'd hazard a guess at, nothing.AndyG said:Great post @PragueAddick and agree 100%. But whatever the reason Nimer did atleast assist in the end towards their downfall dont you think ? Maybe not for any other reason than getting even with the rest of the scum but still assisted.

(PS: That's taking nothing away from those who rightly raised it and brought it to the attention of the relevant body. It's a bit like all of that admirable hard work on the 'dossiers'. Sadly, it clearly has had little or no impact).0 -
A great article about a mad night.
Everything about ESI is a complete mystery other than Southall really who's pretty transparent. I'm still baffled about Nimer's motives, and how we managed to survive until September without Nimer investing anything.1 -
So that was for the nice breads?PragueAddick said:

Say their name with pride!!, How close did this club come to being destroyed by greed!
We are indeed lucky to have such people as Tracey, Carlo and Olly on our side!

It’s the sheer front and audacity of it all , swanning in giving it the big one , helping himself to way over the top funds in a completely classless way (chairman parking spot bellend) whilst bluffing that all is good etc .AFKABartram said:
