Ridiculous when both teams wear a change strip4
-
Just changed channels because the Wales game was so dull. WTF is that abomination of a kit. England should always play in red or white never fucking ghastly blue.3

Getting the job done tonight... Not that there is a need to0

Not even on the bench. Nice goal from Sancho. Problem is Kane, Sterling and Sancho wont play together until the Euros. They will have no time to gel together.moutuakilla said:
He didn't play in our last set of matches either did he? He is in the squad though?DamoNorthStand said:No Sterling?0 -
Ireland are woeful0

When you’re the underdog like Ireland, it must be so annoying to give away a goal from a CB.1

Now that's how to take a penalty!2

England's preparations for their Nations League fixtures against Belgium and Iceland will not be affected as the Return to Play protocol is designed to legislate for such occurrences.

5 at the back with 2 DCMs.
Negative Southgate strikes again.1 -
It probably is 541 but could be:
Pickford
Walker, Dier, Mings, Chilwell
Tripper, Rice, Henderson, Grealish
Mount
Kane

If that side doesn't produce then he's on thin ice.0
-
Only worry is that we have a defensive midfielder at centre back. Surely we must have a better option than that available we could have chosen.0
-
Well yes Keane is on the bench. But Dier has been playing CB for Spurs. Not quite sure he’s good enough for International football but don’t think he worse at CB than DM/CM.BalladMan said:Only worry is that we have a defensive midfielder at centre back. Defence is still a major issue for whoever the England Manager is
Chilwell at Left-Back is probably the only position cemented, maybe Maguire at Centre-Back too with the amount he plays
Need to produce a few decent Centre-Backs as the selection pool isnt brilliant0 -
Grealish forcing his way in
The midfield is proper shit though.....

Still no Sterling and no Sancho?!0

Fuck me that is a miserable lineup. Three attacking players1

Sterling is injured... Sancho has been shit for Dortmund this seasonDamoNorthStand said:Still no Sterling and no Sancho?!0 -
That’s never stopped Southgate before. He’d have been one of the first names on the team sheet if he was a keeper or defender.ForeverAddickted said:

Guess as we've seen from Bowyer's rotating, its more important to have a settled Goalkeeper and Defencecafcfan1990 said:

Too much credit for Southgate there. Think it’s just convenient as he doesn’t like attacking players. Not sure this back 6 have to played together either so not sure it’s settled at all.ForeverAddickted said:

If Eric Dier didn't play for Spurs, he'd have nowhere near as many caps as he has currently.0
-
Sancho isn’t fit enough to play 2 games in 4 days. That back 3 definitely needs protecting, especially against KDB and Lukaku. Think Southgate has probably called this correctly, although time will tell.1
-
Sancho would be considered by anyone outside of England as our best player. Kane works well with Son + Sancho has some similar traits to Son. Why not set up the attack like how Kane knows best?
How is the squad not built around him?5 -
The one positive thing with that lineup is that Grealish should have a lot of freedom to attack2
-
Considered better than Kane? Not sure about that. Also, I believe Sterling’s record over the last year is up there with the best in the world.SELR_addicks said:Sancho would be considered by anyone outside of England as our best player.3
