So is cowdenbeaths game against stenhousemuir....I would be watching that but at Hartley wintney v Poole. Still waiting to see if the game is off though.

It is not clear how grassroots and amateur sport will be affected, but guidance is being drawn up.

However sources have indicated to BBC Sport that is unlikely that grassroots team sport will be permitted to continue.

I don't see how it can continue. I've been to 10 non-league games so far this season and have seen entire squads doing post-match huddles (ffs) and quite a bit of non-distancing in the crowd. Was at Corinthian Casuals yesterday and there was a fairly significant crowd of mainly pissed up blokes huddled together behind the goal just as normal.

If the Government are saying that you can't go into a non-essential shopping environment or a church then there's no way some elements of non-league football comply.

The game yesterday was Corinthian Casuals 5 Hendon 4 in the FA Trophy.

As the score suggests, very entertaining. Hendon came forward in waves throughout the game and probably made 10 clear chances. Casuals got some breakaways which resulted in corners...and they seemed to score from them or the recycled ball, everytime! Hendon even had two golden chances in injury time to equalise. A header over from 5 yards and the top striker, clean through! 

Two of the goals were top class; one for each team from well outside the box and unstoppable. Ultimately Casuals keeper had a much better game than Hendon's. 

As an aside, Alec Stewart was watching. He might still play for Casuals Vets and his dad his President.

Even before the new lockdown, there was something wrong in this arbitrary divide between the 6th tier and below, especially as there seemed to be little attempt to maintain appropriate  distancing and anti-Covid measures.  

Yet clubs will probably start with 25/30% capacities when fans are allowed back in. That will be difficult to work.
A sad and worrying situation with no easy answers. 

VCD vs East Grinsted on Tuesday is probably the last game I'll be able to watch in person for a good while.

The FA cup games involving non 'elite' teams are going ahead. So they should!

Got a programme somewhere of Casuals v Hendon at The Oval in the 1950s, with Mickey Stewart, Doug Insole and Mike Willett in the team. I've just found another one, with Richard Gilliat of Hampshire up front for them in the early 60s. I guess their most famous Casuals' cricketer would be C.B. Fry.

I'm not sure part of that is true as from the statement

"all ten ‘non-elite’ clubs that remain in the competition will be able to train together and play their fixtures under ‘elite’ protocols."

I think they may have updated the Statement
