Marcus Rashford during lockdown has:
Started a charity that has raised £20 million and helped feed 2.8 million children
Launched a Christmas Box campaign with Selfridges to help Manchester's homeless
Learned sign language to judge a poetry competition in a deaf school
And has now come out in support of an autistic lad who has been the subject of bullying
He's 22. A credit to his profession, his family but most of all to himself.

and he's taken part in a tv ad for Fareshare where he is the butt of the joke.

Top guy for doing that....1

Don’t suppose he fancies a cheap end of season loan deal?11

He'd buy us , close CACT down, be involved in drug trafficking , money laundering and all sorts of foulplay within a week , we're cursed I tell thee23

Superb role model.6

He's always comes across as a humble modest guy. Fair play to him for all he has achieved and will continue to achieve inside and outside of football1

Saw him in Five Guys at Trafford Park a couple of years ago after the end of the season. Must have been thirty kids (and their dads 😏) come up and ask him for his autograph - smiled and had a photo with all of them, all while being on a date (if you can call Five Guys a date) with his missus. Quite a few people round here know him or know of him - he's apparently a genuinely sound bloke11

Disgusting.
So not only is he young, rich and talented but he's a nice guy.
Doesn't he realise he's meant to set a bad example so the tabloids can point what a bad example he is setting, how these players have it too easy, get paid too much, bring back national service, wibble6 - Sponsored links:

Good lad. A shining beacon in a sea of turds...1

But would he play the last 2/3 games of his contract and risk an injury and scupper a big move to Madrid or Barcelona

A beacon of light in recent times - a model professional. Using his fame and wealth to do positive and he’s 22, hope he has a long and decent career2

Nice one Marcus, footballers get a bad rep, nice to hear of people giving back to the community, rather than just out for themselves.1

Does sound like a thoroughly decent human though1 -
God he makes me feel lazy, the only productive thing i have done during lockdown is buy a car this week but that was even delivered to me!
Massive respect to the young man! Incredible person2 -
Wonder if Matt Hancock will use his next spot on Lies at Five to congratulate and thank him?2

That's an incredibly important question.

Becoming the undisputed best boxer on the planet is some achievement Paulie.
Particularly in light of the mental health issues he overcame to get there.
Well deserved imo9 -
Fluked SPOTY by beating the biggest hitting and undefeated heavy weight champion, sure. All whilst coming back from problems with booze, drug and depression.
Pretty much what SPOTY should be about.7 -
Ok maybe fluked wasn't the right word
But had COVID19 not hit and we had the Euros and the Olympics there is no way he would win.
Also fighting the same fighter later in the year who you beat earlier in the year doesnt seem like a great champion to me, he just beat Wilder and knows he will beat him again.
Do another fight in October like Joshua and do the Wilder 3rd fight another time0 -
The only thing that might stop Fury winning SPOTY is his association with alleged crime lord Daniel Kinahan:
https://www.independent.ie/videos/tyson-fury-thanks-daniel-kinahan-for-organising-anthony-joshua-fight-39275870.html
Sky and BT have already distanced themselves from negotiations for TV coverage of the fight with AJ and the BBC themselves have said this on their website about him:Daniel Kinahan first came to widespread public attention in Ireland in February 2016 when gunmen attacked the weigh-in at a boxing bout that resulted in the murder of a man described as a leader of the Kinahan crime cartel in Ireland.
The immediate aftermath of the shooting as spectators fled in fear was caught on camera and the footage went around the world.
It is believed he was the intended target.
The murder was part of a feud that has claimed at least 18 lives.
Politicians, police officers and the public in Ireland are keen that the outside world get to know what they call the real Daniel Kinahan.

Marcus is a credit to his family, community, profession club and country, a good news story in these doom & gloomy strange times - well played young man 👍👍13

Man Utd & players in general have come out of the lockdown quite well - never tried to furlough staff like Liverpool, Spurs etc, haven't had any breaking lockdown stories like Kyle Walker, Jack Grealish, Spurs & Mourinho, Rashford for all the above, and wasn't it Harry Maguire who got a load of players together to donate a part of their wages?
I doubt they are all saints but they've managed to come across well.8
