So once again, a club needs funds to pay the players wages (hence why they went on strike in the first place) yet wont be able to through one of their incomes0 -
Poor that the Macclesfield games has been called off at such short notice, bet a number of Plymouth fans are already there0
-
Saw this from Ryan Lowe the Plymouth manager
Can any argyle fans with children who have made the trip to Macclesfield tonight get in touch with me, as me and my staff and the players have a special treat for you ?!💚

Although the clubs seem to be say different things which less than 15 hours before the game seems weird

I am aware of press releases which suggest that tomorrow's game against Plymouth Argyle has been postponed.I would like to state that we have never asked the EFL to play the game behind closed doors and as far as I am are concerned, the game will be played as scheduled. For clarification, the unequivocal and categorical information that we have received from the @EFL is that tomorrow's scheduled @SkyBetLeagueTwo at @thesilkmen is OFF.And will remain off.#pafc
Macclesfields last update was at 9PM at Plymouths at 9.30PM0 -
Hmm.....I would say that the EFL trump anything an individual club wants to do. The EFL schedule the fixtures & if they say its off....then its off.0
-
Poor old Gritty is involved up there0
-
Ok so its gone 13.30 and Macclesfield still have not put on twitter or their club website a statement saying the game is off, in fact the last update on their site is the one from 9pm stating the game is on.
Poor communication0 -
Macclesfield's home match with Grimsby on Boxing Day will go ahead as planned after safety issues were resolved.

Bury in liquidation danger as owner Dale fails to pay any money to creditors

Any additional action by the English Football League to try to help save Bury FC "would not have made any difference to the eventual outcome", an independent review has concluded.

If/when the Coronavirus causes fans to reduce match attendance, or even worse, forces some matches to be played in front of empty stadiums, small clubs who rely mostly on matchday turnover.... could more fragile clubs find themselves in a terminal decline?

Amazingly Oldham best Newport 5 nil today.0

Even more amazingly Oldham have nearly completed a new stand (looking at yesterday's game).0

A crazy situation, especially as it's the best stand in the ground and commercially the most important - imagine The Valley with the West Stand with all its lounges and hospitality areas shut?1 -

It's all gone rather quiet on the Derby & Sheff Wed fronts.0

Any poor teams in League 1 could get really lucky this season, lack of players and points deductions for Bolton and Bury mean chances are only 2 other teams will go down0 - Sponsored links:

The genuis that is the EFL think tank is well and truly at work again
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/52898117
Southend have been given a suspended points deduction (just three points) and a fine of £7,500 for late payment of wages
Surely that sort of money would be better spent on actual wages at the moment? - Especially for a club of their size1 -
Shows that instant admin or points deduction for CAFC is very unlikely as a result of EFL punishment.1

I wonder when this late payment occurred.0 -

You'd have thought that the sensible option would be a suspended fine too, especially in the current climate

Its baffling as the EFL is already missing a team so simply leave Stevenage in the Division and promote Barrow (if the National League agrees), its not bloody difficult0 -

The EFL is one club down at the moment anyway, so presumably cancelling relegation from L2 and promoting 1 club from the NL would work
Or just relegating Stevenage and promoting 10 -

Or did you mean to say promote two0 -
If Macclesfield get done again(think I saw they were facing another charge)and there are no more games, think they will go down and not Stevenage.
There last points deduction I think 2 points were suspended
So that would be added to any further points deduction, and they would surely go below Stevenage0
