    You missed a couple of classics. Double Indemnity was on TCM & Lawrence of Arabia on Sky Greats. 

    Must do better  4/10.
    Never seen double indemnity. As for Laurence of Arabia - it looks great but it’s twice as long as it should be . 
    Its funny I have an occasional rant about contemporary films being too long, but I thought Lawrence was the right length for what it covered! my 92 year old mum watched the Lady Vanishes the other day, and whilst its only 97 minutes long she thought they dragged it out..

    Contagion yesterday was v good. That film was made in 2011 but mirrored Covid-19. Scary.

    i hated Rocketman and liked Kill Bill. My wife was the extreme opposite. Trying to agree what to watch in our house is like Brexit negotiations..

    I thought Sicario was massively disappointing. The lead character is absolutely useless at her job.

    She’s not really allowed to do her job because of the way Del Toro and Brolin’s characters do everything not by the book .

    Why do none of the recommendations come from Talking Pictures channel? There's many a good old movie on there. Last night they had This Sporting Life - a real classic of the British New Wave.

    Without giving away any spoilers, I get that she’s meant to be a moral anchor in the film, and is used, but some of her decision making really aggravated me.

    Sicario and Shawshank are great ... but Walk the Line is the standout for me, totally superb film. Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon are excellent.

    Good shout  - Ive recorded a few from here myself.Still wading through Hazell series, which I don't think had been repeated before

    The Gentleman is only £3.50 on google play for 48 hour rent. You can then watch on YouTube on Xbox or TV app. Thought that was very reasonable and I really enjoyed it.

    Cracking film . Hugh Grant is brilliant in it and I’d never thought I’d ever say that about him .
