New Gorillaz, has a big ska vibe to it especially on the chorus, reminds me of the specials in places. Banging tune -

I like some of their old stuff Our Swimmer and I am the Fly. Never realised they were still going or how much stuff they've done. Might have to check out some of the later stuff.JamesSeed said:Wire. ‘Mind Hive’. Bought it on vinyl yesterday, and sat down and listened to the whole thing while reading the lyrics and list of musicians printed on the card inner. It’s many years since I’ve done that.Great album, beautiful in places.1 -

Radio 6, 6pm to 8pm. Playing two hours in honour of Andy Gill. At the moment it's It's Obvious by Au Pairs - truly wonderful with a great baseline and clashing, grungy guitar. I absolutely love this track.0

Listened to the new Green Day album a few times over the weekend, never really been a fan but think it's really good. Only 26 minute long so if I had to pay for it i'd be a little pissed off!!!0

...Chameleon...Several of them....
I woke this LP out of its hibernation this evening.
Am glad I did. It has been a favourite of mine for 35 years.
The Chameleons - What Does Anything Mean? Basically (1985)
From Wikipedia:
Known for their atmospheric, guitar-based sound, the Chameleons are regarded as one of the most underrated Manchester bands of the 1980s. They did not attain the commercial success of other groups from the Manchester scene but developed a cult following.
This one's for you, @addick1965

Also well worth picking up the Dreams in Celluloid compilation, and there’s a Peel Sessions compilation too.
The two cd reissue of Script of the Bridge includes a live show from 1983 which is very good.1
