Like I said on Tuesday, Purrington’s consistent 7/10s are now 3/10s. We need a new left back in January
He played well first half, unfortunately didn't carry it into the second.

Sick and tired of it. Fingers crossed for this takeover and we can build a backline of some championship quality
  • A shit as this feels, it might just be the turning point. A point stops the rot, and the team looked better balanced and more competitive, especially in midfield. There's enough there to cling on to for another week.

At least until we get word what this "strange" stuff the new owners have in store for us is...

Big changes needed to stop the rot.

Played well but still didn't win, has all the makings of a relegation season.
  • Thought Sarr and Leko were sensational.

We have stopped the rot, it just doesn't feel like it. Think we all would've taken a point before the game.

Gutted? Yes. Surprised? No. End of the world? Absolutely not. Results will improve. COYR
  • Makeshift, injury-ridden side, confidence low, gives a committed wholehearted performance that almost earns a deserved 3 points.
That was some fucking kick in the teeth at the end there.
A lot of the lads and the manager were close to tears there.

Purrington needed to get across his man and attack the ball. He just stood there.

  • Cross back into the box could and should have been prevented. One single player isn't to blame.

Bows gonna get another ban here for his comments about the ref

He’s a great shot stopper but Phillips has to start coming off his line. Rooted at every cross! He shouldn’t have even been in a position to drop it as he should have been out catching it!
  • PS Darren Pratley was majestic and J Leko gave his best performance to date imo

Phillips fault for the goal. Made some saves yeah but that’s what he’s paid to do. Can’t kick for shit and doesn’t control his 6 yard box. If he comes out and claims the ball we win. Players give everything but not having people stick up for him tonight . Cost us the 3 points

We just switch off and look nervous - invite pressure on in the last 10, we need a bit of luck....but tonight was nothing to do with injuries etc. We literally had to win one more header and that was it....

    Gutted
  • We invite this by trying to play some sort of Mickey Mouse Catenaccio in the last 15 minutes of every game when we are either trying to save a point or defend a lead.

We should be getting the ball up to our forwards and supporting them but when the likes of Taylor ends up playing as a defender we lose that out ball. And then the ball keeps coming back again and again and again.

  • Trying not to look at that January fixture list.

I am going to look at two big positives and try and forget the heartbreaking last minute.

Naby Sarr and Jonathan Leko, who have struggled for form of late played really well tonight and should be very proud of their performances.

We will come out of this. In Bow we trust.

    Yep
  • One positive is we are on 24 points... next game will be the half way stage, if we can get a point in the next game we’re on target for the all important 50 points that should keep us up at the end of the season.
  • The defence is so bad. I really don’t see what everyone else does in Lockyer. Looks lost everytime I’ve seen him play.

Leko and Sarr had good games today.
Thought Lockyer was excellent today, got in several vital tackles and didn’t do anything wrong.

Never said he wasn’t. He’s obviously very frustrated, understandable.
  • Really odd vibes from Bowyer in the interview.... was pushed on the ‘strange things’ comment and did his upmost not to snap at the interviewer who was trying to get an answer out of him

Why do we defend so deep ?
We have conceded so many late goals in the last month it's embarrassing.
I don't think we are bottlers But if you concede so much ground then balls will keep coming into your box.
It was a miracle against Leeds and Brentford. But 10 players in your own box late on is asking for trouble.
As long as we didn't give a free kick away in last 30 seconds we win. So of course we give a free kick away on half way line.

Phillips did 2 good saves and was unlucky with the last one. If anyone doesn't deserve stick it's Phillips.

Much better tonight but our League 1 defence is costing us dear at the moment.
Gutted for Naby he didn't score the winning goal. This is turning into torture being a Charlton fan but agree with Lee the final whistle should've been blown. The ball should stay down the line in Hull's half.

Our love-hate affair with Cafc continues.

  • Bowyer looks stressed in post match interview. I support him fully. He's been so unlucky it's rediculous.
