    Friday the 13th, would you?
  • Because the EFL must have had long enough. There cant be a 100% reliable test and there must be a system of checks that can be completed within a reasonable timescale.
I see your point but I am not convinced the finances have been checked out as much as others think. Just because the interviews took place this week does not all the other box's have been investigated and ticked. Personally I think there is still a long way to go with this deal.

Each day is doing damage to our chances of being in the championship next season.
Fickle fans aren't helping when we are losing games in the first or last minutes of matches.
    It needs to be today

Not really... Gallen will no doubt have a list of targets to go over once the Transfer Window opens so we cant do anything till then

If the takeover drags into January then I'll agree as we need bodies in

Hopefully Bowyer and Gallen went to meet Southall yesterday in advance of any Press Conference happening (maybe next week?)

They then dont get shocked at something he may come out with

Dont know if was the day of the press conference but Powell had a similar meeting with Duchatalet as remember him saying that he told Roland not to mess up what had already been built prior to the Press Conference yet had to then sit there (watching Powell's body language sititng there it obvious) listening to Roland prattle on, knowing that he fully intended to ignore Powell's advice and screw things up

So players are not talked to and 'agreements' not made before 1st January ?

How? We can’t sign anyone for three weeks.

the club has been sold subject to efl approval. The new owners have been to matches, have been speaking to bowyer and planning for life after confirmation. It makes little difference if approval is given today or next friday

Thats what I basically said in the first line... Gallen will have his list of targets and will be talking to clubs / players / agents at the moment

You could hear a pin drop at Charlton station at 10pm on Tuesday.Cold sad folk and even I couldn't put a positive spin on the match.
Bowyer needs the boost, the genuine fans need a boost, it's always next week,
    I'm mentally knackered.
We are so near yet it's never today.
    Does tomorrow ever come ?

All we need is @ElfsborgAddick slyly walking past peoples tables and swiping drinks when people aren’t looking - he did that at Gillingham a few seasons ago, and had the cheek to come back to where we were sitting and said he had bought a round. Funny as I never asked for a pint of Guinness, Gin, Stella and peanuts.

The EFL have a target of 4 weeks to ratify ownership and confirm or reject potential new owners.  That is their Service Level.  What we don't really know is when they were first approached.

Was hoping it would be done today so that Matt Southall could have a moment at half time on the pitch (And the Sky cameras) where the new regime could be announced but time is running out!
  • Tingle bells, tingle bells, tingle all the way.

    Get a move on EFL

And get it done today ! Eh ?

Before the game - Matt Southall on the pitch and LB/JJ/LT sign their contracts in front of the West Stand.

    I can dream.

Maybe that’s how the announcement will happen?

I actually think Southall will smash the ball at the crossbar which will trigger a mass firework display spelling the words “Done” in the night sky.  He better hit the bar though or he will only win a pair of match tickets and nobody would wish him sitting through 90 mins of what we serve up.
  • Perhaps it has been ratified today and the announcement will be made just before kick-off. (Fingers crossed anyway).

That reminded me of the penalty miss by Diana Ross at the 94 World Cup opening ceremony - the only penalty (apart from shoot-outs) missed in the whole tournament.
