Twenty games across two weekends in December - included in the price of Amazon Prime (no extra fees).

Liverpool v Everton and Man Utd v Tottenham are the highlights.

    Think they are midweek fixtures rather than weekends - I would guess that Liverpool v Everton & United v Spurs will be shown on different days in the first weel. Interesting idea, hope the streaming quality is decent.

    saw a tweet on this the other day, pub owners pay £1000 a month for sky and £850 for bt to not have any boxing day football in which is probably busiest period of the year, i hate the pl and the whole circus of it.

    Get yourself an HDMI cable, plug the laptop into the TV, job done.

    Pretty happy with this, two weeks of no dodgy streaming, lovely.

    Yep that is what i will probably do. Already pay enough. Wont be long before Amazon outbid Sky and BT tho

    Reports claim that Liverpool's trip to Leicester on Boxing Day will be moved to an 8pm kick-off time.

    All 10 games will be shown live on Amazon Prime, as we already knew, with nine on December 26 and one, expected to be Wolves vs Man City, on December 27.

    There will be four kick-off times on Boxing Day; 12.30pm, 3pm, 5pm and 8pm. At the moment, only the 8pm kick-off game has been reported.

    It's worth noting that Amazon Prime are also showing an entire round of fixtures across December 3 and 4.
     
    Times are 7.45pm GMT unless stated.
     
    Tuesday 3 December
    - Arsenal v Brighton 
    - Burnley v Manchester City 
    - Leicester v Watford 
    - Sheffield United v Newcastle 
    - Wolves v West Ham 
    - Manchester United v Tottenham (8pm)
     
    Wednesday 4 December
    - Chelsea v Aston Villa 
    - Southampton v Norwich 
    - Crystal Palace v Bournemouth (8pm)
    - Liverpool v Everton (8pm)
     
    We understand Amazon have no plans on pausing their one-month free Prime trial during the period covering these Premier League fixtures.

    The games on the 3rd and 4th of December seem fair enough, they don't clash or interfere with anything else.

    Not convinced about the Boxing Day kickoffs, how can they have 3pm kickoffs, surely you're not allowed live TV games at the same time as the main fixture list elsewhere? I can see a lot of family rows too, with blokes slumping in front of the TV all day!

    The blackout of 3 pm games is only for saturday

    - Games console (PS4 and Xbox have the Amazon app)

    - internet connected TV (again just open the app)

    Basically get a device that can stream Amazon and plug it into the telly. 

    These games are being shown by a streaming service that’s testing the water to see if showing Premier League football will gain them viewers and subscribers. If this proves successful for them over the three year period they have this set of games for, expect them to big bid when the rights come up again in 2022. Perhaps finally breaking Sky’s dominance. 

    As mentioned above, pubs are paying huge amounts and losing crucial games. For many years one subscription meant all games. The Competition Commission put a stop to that by breaking up the packages more and stopping one broadcaster from taking them all. Enter BT and now Amazon. Ironically, the CC has caused a massive price increase for the consumer.

    Good News, was thinking of adding BT to my Sky Sports package but will hold fire now altho would like Champions League but will save those for the pub.

    Loving the Liverpool lot Spirit of Shankley moaning about having to play Leicester away at 8pm Boxing Day. Didn’t hear them moaning about winning the champions league, where do they think they got the money for the players to enable that from?

    Its becoming a real ball ache trying to justify the cost of watching football on TV to my wife, I have to say.
    Latest calculation, to have Sky Sports, BT Sports (in HD and not SD) and Amazon Prime, works out at £66.52 a month (taking into account up front sign on fee, first 3 months of BT in HD free etc).

    It was so much cheaper to watch football when Sky had everything.

    You can watch amazon prime on virgin tv now. Not sure what channel number it is though.

    Sky subscription charges have definitely gone done but not enough to compensate for the extra cost for BT and Amazon. That said, one would struggle to buy one ticket for a PL game for the monthly outlay to all those providers though explaining that to a better half that doesn't get sport can be an issue!

    For me this is Amazon dipping their toe into a new market and they will come along and swallow up more games, BT and Sky need to be worried. Hopefully this is a good thing for the consumer.

    For what it's worth Amazon Prime really is great value for money in my opinion.
