De Ligt has a couple more years on his contract but Ajax would find it hard to turn down offers of 70m imo

Imagine selling two players for a combined fee of 150m. Staggering

Remind me what we got for Joe Gomez.
As much as Roland is to blame for that he is not the sole reason we got so little

    Charlton-League 1 no European Football

Ajax-Dutch Champions and Champions League Football.

League 1 sides cant go asking for millions and millions for a player

We were in the championship when we sold Gomez, not league one but you make a good point.

A big difference between a player at a struggling championship side, to a player who's played over 100 first team games, played in a European final, is a Dutch national team regular and is the captain of Ajax.

great for ajax. hoping spurs do a job on city tonight but fear they will sit back and it could be 3/4-0 to city.

Surely anyone who lives in and around London wouldn’t want any success for Spurs !
All Spurs and West Ham where I am , with some Arsenal thrown in and the chirping from them is too much to take , come on City stuff them !

The only reason I can think of for preferring spurs to go through is it allows Man City to concentrate on beating Liverpool to the title

don't mind them myself have a strong dislike of arsenal, just behind palace and millwall for me, anything that can wind the whinging wankers up im all for, think the fact spurs have a few of the england boys in the team is why i dont mind them.

City to beat Spurs, Barca to beat Liverpool in the semis and then don’t care who wins it.
  • Would love to see Ajax win it, can't see it happening but it would be great for football if they could.

City vs Ajax would be a cracking semi final. I would expect City to prevail, as I think they are a major step up over Juventus but it won't be easy
  • Assuming it's Barca v Liverpool and City v Ajax you could make a case for all 4 sides winning.

    Barca obviously have Messi.
But Liverpool's front 3 could easily carve Barca apart.
City have a great side and on their day no one can live with them.
Ajax have just totally outplayed Madrid and Juve, and could just as easily run rings round a City side who at times are dodgy at the back.

I quite fancy Spurs to go through tonight. B365 offering 5-1 on the draw and 10-1 on a Spurs win. Both prices look big to me

Think I want Spurs to win, hoping it’ll give City extra determination to win the league ahead of Liverpool
