Reminds me of that soccer saturday clip with Chris Kamara when Jeff had to tell him about a red card at the game he was at.

Never thought I'd see the day when Charlton are 3rd from bottom in league one & Welling Utd have a better manager than us.
  • Good manager. Hope he does well at PVR.
  • Peter Taylor is their new Manager
Is this a result of the tonking by the Super Darts on Saturday ?
  • Peter Taylor is their new Manager
Used to watch Dartford a lot when he was player/manager there. Although in the twilight of his playing career he was still the best player on the pitch by a mile.

Looks like Welling are having as good a season as we are.

    Maidstone are flying.

Is the scaffolding and cover staying or is something being built? Can't work it out!

I read it as staying, I doubt Welling can afford to build a new stand.

I was reading on their forum the other day that they have a new board and that has brought new investment in to the club.

The scaffold at the Road end is temporary for a season I believe. They have plans to redevelop both ends of the ground.

They recently postponed all of their home friendlies as they are undertaking a massive overhaul on their pitch and it isn't going to be ready until the start of the season.

They have signed a few ex Charlton in this window as well - Taylor Maloney and Ade Aziz.

They had a horrendous season last year, but seem to have stuck with Warren Feaney as manager and the squad is looking very strong for their level. The only downside seems to be the fact that they lost their main striker to Ayr Utd in Scotland.

Not sure I've seen any Welling friendlies this season while walking past Danson most days.

They've not had any home friendlies this summer due to the works

They've all been played away from PVR as there's ongoing works at the ground.

Popped down to Chatham Town last night. Very impressive stadium.
Welling started with what appears to be there starting back 4, with the remainder being trialists.
won 4-1 and took there goals very well.
Now that the academy players are linked to the first team, leaves Welling far more options.
Some of the youngsters look very sharp.
Taking the family to Somerset for the start of August for a long weekend and as luck would have it, Welling area away to Taunton :-)
