  • Three Lakeside titles in a row for Glen Durrant after he beat Scott Waites 7-3, equalling the record of the late, great, Crafty Cockney.

Now go over to the PDC and have a good go there with the big boys.

Glen Durrant described winning a 2 year PDC tour card at Q School today as “as good as winning the Lakeside Championship”

Gary Anderson has pulled out of the Masters this weekend due to a back injury. Premier League starts a week Thursday so it must be a doubt for that as well
  • Price v Wade atm

    Twat v Twat

Interesting who they will pick seeing as it starts this Thursday.
  • Anderson's replacement is Chris Dobey.

    And Glen Durrant.

    And Steven Lennon.

And Luke Humphries, Big John Henderson, Nathan Aspinall, Max Hopp, Dimitri Van Den Bergh, and Jeffrey De Zwaan.

Each of them will get a match in the spotlight.

    Interesting idea ...

So a different player will play each week, they can't win any points but if the player they're playing against wins, they get the points That's bloody stupid!!!

So 1 week someone is gonna be playing Durrant & another week someone else has to play John Henderson for the same number of points. How the bloody hell is that fair??

    Baffling decision.
How can you run a league where different contenders face different opponents for the same points.

Plus I doubt the likes of Lewis, Chisnall or Whitlock are happy.

Would prefer to have seen a golden oldie return every week if they are set on turning it into an exhibition.

  • On the one hand, I can see what the PDC is trying to do in exposing the up-and-coming players to the big arena venues.

On the other, however, it does compromise the competition as it's no longer an even playing field; with all due respect some of the "guest" players are much better than others so some of the main group will have easier weeks, and potentially a better chance of a leg difference boost, than others.

    Then
    Ball 5 v Ball 6
    Then
    Ball 3 v Ball 4
    Then
    Ball 1 v Ball 2

Nathan Aspinall got to the World Championship Semi Final before losing to Michael Smith, He has just beat Gerwyn Price who was on a 20 match winning streak to get to the UK Open final.

    Big future ahead of him

Edit:Comms said Price was on a 20 match winning streak, but 2 of those werr draws in the Premier League so technically not a 20 match winning streak

Aspinall will face Rob Cross in the final after the former World Champion saw off walking wounded Michael Smith 11-7.

Hopefully this will be a good final, not fussed who wins it.

Weird Aspinall 10-5 ahead as the go for the last break and Cross shakes Aspinalls hand and says something as they walked off.

Was it a bit of gamesmanship to try and get into aspinalls head

Just noticed 45 year old John Henderson is the contender for tongight WTF

I could just about understand Durrant being 1 as its his 1st year in the PDC but Henderson has been in the PDC since 2011, I wouldnt call him a contender
