So a different player will play each week, they can't win any points but if the player they're playing against wins, they get the points That's bloody stupid!!!
So 1 week someone is gonna be playing Durrant & another week someone else has to play John Henderson for the same number of points. How the bloody hell is that fair??
On the one hand, I can see what the PDC is trying to do in exposing the up-and-coming players to the big arena venues.
On the other, however, it does compromise the competition as it's no longer an even playing field; with all due respect some of the "guest" players are much better than others so some of the main group will have easier weeks, and potentially a better chance of a leg difference boost, than others.
Nathan Aspinall got to the World Championship Semi Final before losing to Michael Smith, He has just beat Gerwyn Price who was on a 20 match winning streak to get to the UK Open final.
Big future ahead of him
Edit:Comms said Price was on a 20 match winning streak, but 2 of those werr draws in the Premier League so technically not a 20 match winning streak

Just noticed 45 year old John Henderson is the contender for tongight WTF
I could just about understand Durrant being 1 as its his 1st year in the PDC but Henderson has been in the PDC since 2011, I wouldnt call him a contender

And Glen Durrant.
And Steven Lennon.
And Luke Humphries, Big John Henderson, Nathan Aspinall, Max Hopp, Dimitri Van Den Bergh, and Jeffrey De Zwaan.
Each of them will get a match in the spotlight.

Interesting idea ...

How can you run a league where different contenders face different opponents for the same points.
Plus I doubt the likes of Lewis, Chisnall or Whitlock are happy.

Hopefully this will be a good final, not fussed who wins it.
Was it a bit of gamesmanship to try and get into aspinalls head
On Thursday 14th March Nathan Aspinall will be in the Premier League as a contender next year he will probably be there on Merit
