The Premier League line-up for 2019 has been announced:
Top four rankings MVG Cross Wright Anderson
PDC picks Gurney Price Wade M Smith
Sky picks Suljovic RVB
All kicks off in Newcastle on Thursday 7th Feb and includes trips to Berlin and consecutive nights in Rotterdam. Finals night is at the O2 on 23rd May.
I would not have picked James Wade, I hope he loses every game
Would've liked to have seen Chizzy or even Lewis over Wade but i guess Wade is above them both in the order of merit so can't really complain
Dave Chisnall's sparkling personality and wit should have seen him in.
Remember seeing MVG when he played at a Valley event a few years back. We had a table at the front and he high fived my son every time he got 180. Which was quite often - I think he averaged about 110. He is a lovely bloke and I'm glad he won the title for the third time. In all honesty, given his talent, he should have won it more times by now, but standards are as high as they have ever been. Despite him not being British, I will always be wanting him to win
Exact same line up bar Wade for Whitlock isn't it? Pretty formality, i wouldn't really pick Sulijovic as he isn't the most pleasing on the eye but he is bearable.
RVB great choice still, shame they couldn't have thrown Phil in, still doesn't feel the same to me. Some good new players coming through Humphries/ Aspinell, nice to see Smith is started to show his talent. Shame the final was a bit one sided and took Smith a few sets to get out the blocks due to nerves/ chances a bit of both. MVG doesn't seem untouchable these days, hopefully Cross can get more consistency back.
Lakeside coverage has been split for a number of years - BBC, and then C4, showed the afternoon session and then BT Sport had the evening session (assuming the afternoon matches hadn't over-run because each leg was being won in a minimum of 45 darts ). BBC would then have late-night highlights of the session they didn't show (can't remember what C4 did).
The person in charge of cameras is crap. The commentators continually go off topic, going as far to comment how the crowd are far superior to that who attend the Ally Pally. In one leg they discussed crowd participation in snooker and whether there should be silence. Not a single word on the game until suddenly mid sentence "single sixteen leaves double top".
Most of the BDO boys will go to Q school this week as they've got nothing to lose. The BDO have relaxed their rules & said anyone who doesn't quality through Q school can come straight back to the BDO

A fair few of the recent champs are also no longer contracted to return their prize money if they make the switch.

Scott Waites is scoring so well but he has 6 out of 36 on doubles
Just like when they have snooker there is no evening session for the darts.
When BBC had coverage of the BDO they had the evening session as well.

That was a good game.
Duzza against Scott Waites in the final should be an enjoyable match.
PDC World Championship Final 27 180s in 10 sets
Durrant v Williams 24 180s in 9 sets
"You were dominant today."
Gone downhill since her Sky Sports News days.
