We've been to Club Mac in Alcudia a few times, water park across the road is included in the all inclusive package, this year we went to Bulgaria which had a couple of slides and a black hole kind of ride.MrOneLung said:OK, it is that time of year where we start thinking about next years holidays

If you are ok with Egypt then we stayed at the Jungle Aqua Park in Hurghada a couple of years ago. Great water park for free use by the hotel residents

glad you kicked another off, ta
have booked Barcelona Friday - Monday for Mrs 30th going middle of may ( wouldn't want to be away for play off final or final game of season ), what is weather like?
also am looking at heading to Greece for a week in September any recommendations welcomed after doing long haul mexico last year didn't enjoy it too much so thought would go shorter haul and just a week this year.1 -
I went to Barcelona mid May this year and weather was decent. Was probably around 25 degrees most days, although was a bit windy at times. Amazing place, you'll have a great time. Go to Llamba in El Born for some of the best tapas I've ever had.palarsehater said:glad you kicked another off, ta

We have been to Kalamaki in Zante two years running and are already booked for the end of June next year. We like the place as it's a bit quieter than most resorts and the locals are really welcoming and friendly. The beach is great with Shallow, warm water and the local high street is lined with bars and restaurants all serving good value food.palarsehater said:glad you kicked another off, ta

We are staying at a hotel 5 mins from both the town and the beach called Denny's Inn. It's B&B, so we are free to try all the great restaurants.

Caretta Beach in Kalamaki (Zante), absolutely superb all inc, couldn't fault it.....8 pools and a waterpark, all spread out with no high rise blocks so it didn't feel like one huge place.MrOneLung said:OK, it is that time of year where we start thinking about next years holidays

In the evenings (as well as the entertainment) there were about 5 of the biggest bouncy castles I've ever seen virtually onsite for the kids.
We went in a massive group and all the kids had a ball.0 -

Torremolinos for the Rockin' Race weekender start of Feb, Larne and Belfast for a few days for mate's 60th, then on to the Hills of Biggin end of Feb.0

Kalamaki is great isn't it? I would recommend trying B&B if you go again as the restaurants are great with so many to choose fromElthamaddick said:

Booked straight through hotel, they often give 5 or 10% off, booked flights separately and then used Hoppa transfers, the entertainment was alright you get the usual jugglers, comedians and staff doing their own shows, and bingo every night. The water park gets busy during the day but your kids will love it.MrOneLung said:

Few booked in already:
South Africa for 2 weeks at the end of Feb and then on to Mauritius for 8 days.
Las Vegas in April
Barcelona for a long weekend at the end of May (unfortunately it’s the play of Final weekend).

We're looking at Sorrento for next year. Done all inclusive in Spain/Turkey for the last 4 years, which has been great but looking to do a bit more while we're away now. Daughter really wants to see Pompei and we both love Italy.
Was supposed to be sorting a weekend in Germany to watch a game with @ricky_otto this year but haven't got round to it. Hopefully sort something next year.0 - Sponsored links:

Serious question. Why book the playoff weekend and risk huge disappointment should we be involved?ricky_otto said:Few booked in already:

Good choice, we always try to get a week in, or near Watergate Bay. July or September when the kids are at school.ForeverAddickted said:Already booked a trip down to Cornwall in June next year... Staying just outside of Newquay again

We were down there last week.1 -
had the playoff issue last year its always a bank holiday so those on tight holiday schedules can go away and save a days holiday0

Off to Sydney in December to start a month long trip... 3 weeks in Oz and then we end up in Hong Kong for 6 boozy nights celebrating my special birthday with some of my old drinking partners from back in the 90's when I lived there.
I can not wait!
And that will pretty much be my holiday for 2019 all used up.

The wife and I are looking for somewhere to take our son who will be 15 months at the time next July for a week.
Looking at 2ish flight so likely Spain or Spanish Island, any lifer suggestions of a resort/hotel that is not to quite but suitable for a family with decent restaurants etc?

Costa Rica or Borneo, depending on who I can tempt.0

Fair point. But for the sake of saving that one day of holiday, you risk missing out on a trip to Wembley and possible life time memories. (Will anyone at Wembley for the Sunderland game ever forget it?)palarsehater said:had the playoff issue last year its always a bank holiday so those on tight holiday schedules can go away and save a days holiday

Just come back from Ibiza with our 17 month old, was excellent, stayed in an apartment in Portinatx which is in the north i think and really quiet. Can recommend highly. Beautiful beaches, the Med, only issue was it was a bit set up for Brits abroad with Carling on tap everywhere and more burgers than tapas.roseandcrown said:The wife and I are looking for somewhere to take our son who will be 15 months at the time next July for a week.

Can thoroughly recommend Javea/Xabia. We go there for a family summer holiday most years now.roseandcrown said:The wife and I are looking for somewhere to take our son who will be 15 months at the time next July for a week.

We go to a private apartment/town house complex about 5 mins walk from Arenal beach. Then can fly to either Allicante or Valencia and its about a 50-60 min drive up/down the AP-7 motorway. Brilliant restauants and bars.1
