I think we're all fairly certain (except @jimmyseed) that this is the most likely outcome
The only thing I’m fairly certain about is that it’s 50:50 they buy the club.
Presumably Andrew Muir has kept his Charlton scarf and will be popping back to cheer on the lads whatever the outcome? Or is he joining the boycott?

divide by eight and you get the number of brain cells he has. Why anyone ever thinks doing something like that is funny I'll never know.

Just sitting in the departure lounge at Leeds Bradford airport waiting to fly out for a week of Greek sun and just wandering if the sale will be done before I return. Think there's more chance of spotting Zeus supping a Mythos in a taverna if I'm honest.

If you do mate, introduce him to 'Fix'. Much better in my opinion.
I love a FIX beer! Used to be everywhere - harder to find these days. Last time I was there it was Amstel everywhere!
I can confirm that 'Under the Pine Tree' in Koukounaries, Skiathos, does Fix mate.

    Anyway, about this alleged takeover............
Came back from Skiathos a couple of weeks ago. Stayed in La Luna, Troulos. Only headed that way once for dinner but heard Koukounaires is lovely during the day

Well having been shafted by Roland we could be forgiven for making him (and Murphy) honorary Addicks.

I have said it before, if I was looking at a long term project, with an investment of say £200 over 5 years, I would value the current playing squad at zero. That was before we sold konsa.

If the assuies were happy to wait, as they were in it for the long hall, I assume they feel the same. I would also like to think they have an ex manager, scout or agent on a retainer who has a number of transfers lined up to go on completion?

But saying all that I wouldn't buy a destressed football club less than 2 months before the start of the season. This should have been done in May or not until December.

I can’t for the life of me see how anyone could run the club on £40 per annum.

this was actually me. Someone i know at the club had mentioned this to me this morning, so i thought i'd ask Rich Cawley as he is certainly more ITK than me or my contact.

I'm desperate for it to go through, not claiming to be ITK, he literally said after asking if we had renewed the whisper were it had/was falling apart.

not a random rumor, purely asking if it was speculation or if it was the case...

haha good spot, yes i am a gooner, i grew up supporting Arsenal, but my son is a charlton fan (his also called Harry Kane, which is quite depressing) but i have always had a close connection to charlton, played as a kid, family and friends always been fans and i had a ST throughout my youth up until i had my own kids. 2 years holding a season ticket with arsenal cost me a fortune, so back to the valley we came.

being an Arsenal fan is just as depressing at times, hopefully the future looks bright for both clubs, should this f***ing takeover happen

Oh yeah really depressing. Fuck me but fans of Utd, Arsenal, Liverpool, Everton and Spurs dont know what depressing means. I exclude Chelsea and Man City because they have been there more recently. But the others?

Any chance @JamesSeed can pester GM, this is getting silly now.

I did get a message late last night which implied the next few days may well be critical for the Aussies’ bid.
    Déjà vu.

These Aussies seem to imply a lot but at the end of the day, fail to deliver. This is obviously only going one way.

At the end of which day?
I'm sure you'll give us another vague hint again next week.

    Then the week after.

Shame the Aussies cannot release their own statement rather than drip feeding morsels through their various 'sources'.

    Getting tiresome now.

Stage 1 of the takeover infinity loop again
The pinnacle of this thread will be when there is 6 separate speculative rumours running concurrently on here each at a different stage of the takeover infinity loop.

    Easier said than done.

The only tiresome part is hanging around expecting anything to be different with the Muir/Duchatalet position when quite patently it isn't going to happen now.

In a few days a new season starts-------- fact
When we knew what division we would be playing in the take over would happen -----bollox
February the take over was imminent -----bollox
It was a few weeks, this week ,after two tough weeks blah blah-----bollox

We go into the season with a squad that is as week as I have seen in more than 5 decades. This is 100% RDs fault but the continued death of hope can be shared by the so called Aussie "buyers" with a drip feed of non info
------possibly because of an NDA. How the fuc k can it be this difficult ??

I was most appreciative about the info for the first dozen times. But then it drags on and on with the same 'critical two weeks' then nothing. What was critical about it?

Also I don't take too kindly to the aforementioned PMs flying about, along with more serious actions, to fellow Charlton fans, in what is a totally unnecessary over reaction to posters opinions.
