I think Muir already dismissed the feeder club angle. They want to tap into the potential fanbase of Aussies working here, visitors and eventually the interest in the Prem at home. They want the Addicks to be the go to side for anyone from down under. Aussie stars here will be a bonus.

    Bullshit ;-)

The three meals you can eat each day are either breakfast, lunch and dinner, in that order; or breakfast, lunch and supper, in that order.

Dinner is never served in the middle of the day.

Yes is a drink not a meal. Although you can have sandwiches, biscuits, cake or bread and jam with tea.

    Fact.

If you're working class and from the midlands or north, you may well eat breakfast, dinner and tea, in that order.
Well that's what I have always eaten but I ain't from the Midlands or oop North. I was born and bred on Coldharbour Estate.

    Great post as per normal

See there’s one thing I don’t like about the Aussie model and that is that it is too similar to the RD Belgian dream but using Australian links to fulfil our quota of players

I certainly could have put that aside and watched it all unfold and give it the benefit of the doubt but there’s something telling me that there is more to it than that

The thing that troubles me with the cash issue is that had the EFL not pulled up the duel football issue and the club would’ve been sold at the agreed price before last Sunday’s cut off

There’s also the issue that @Davidsmith has once again pointed out and that @Airman Brown has agreed is taking place and that is the deal with the ex directors is currently being sought this can be for one of two reasons

To facilitate a deal where the ground and training ground can be used separately by RD as a revenue stream and to hold us hostage like Coventry

Or the debt is needed to be removed to facilitate the sale without changing down the asking price

All signs that the Australian consortium do not have the required pool of cash to help us regain a decent foothold in divisions higher than we currently are

@Davidsmith like myself has mentioned and believe that there is still British interest and it has not gone away from the very beginning

I personally am hoping that this can be held up by the directors not selling up unless a group or an individual wealthy enough and experienced enough in uk football with a real concept and understanding of how to get us out of this predicament

If the Aussies win and RD is gone then that will only be a good thing because a real enemy will be gone that we both agree

The rest is going to be a watch this space as something doesn’t sit right

Long post for NLA, has anyone seen Grapevine & NLA in the same room?
If we all keep quoting this post quickly we can get to 1000 pages and then we can all get on with our summer without all this anxiety ;-)

Stressing too many people out, if we get a "we are sold" statement on page 998 and a brand new thread .... Armageddon awaits for sure.

It's going to reach 1,000 pages. Isn't it?

    It may well not.

Just to add an additional band of excitement to this, but we can't find any other site that uses the same platform software carrying a thread beyond 3 digit pages. So your guess is as good as ours.

Should CL spontaneously combust. It was nice knowing you all :-)
Wait! You're saying this is the most popular thread on any subject, anywhere in the world?

No-one in the history of the internet has ever shared their views on a thread with more contributions than this one?

This topic is the most engaging, compelling, hottest ever, on any site on any subject?

    Blimey.

Imagine starting this thread up and *still* not getting a promote.
No, not what I said. I said using this platform software. I’m sure there are thousands of threads in the world of t’internet bigger than this accumulation of sh*te :-)
No. But, in the spirit of everything else written on this thread, I have interpreted what you wrote to have an entirely different meaning and used it to draw a preposterously inaccurate conclusion that bares almost no relation to the information already posted.

And then, I have added a four-letter "f-word" at the end of my response to indicate that, although I have no reliable basis for thinking what I am writing is true, I am insisting it is both true and unarguable.

    Fact.

You don’t know what the model is. They’ve already said it’s not going to be an Aussie nursery club.

Which you accept could just be spin?

What I’m really failing to comprehend is that if there truly is a second British consortium still in the running. What on Earth is stopping them from getting ahead of the Australian’s who have been falling short for reasons that are largely unclear for weeks and possibly months.

because there isn't one.......or at least not one that is credible. RM doesn't want to lose his seat at the top table so is trying to cobble together some friends with money to help him out.

    Pudding or dessert?

    Neither it's 'Afters' or sweet.
Afters died for me in 1976.

My new bride of one day had made a nice dinner, but looked at me askance when I asked, 'What's for afters?' Afters? she said ... like what? 'Oh you know something with custard' ' ... like what with custard?' 'Well ... apple pie, rhubarb crumble, spotted dick, fruit salad.' My extensive list of Mum's delights soon began to falter though as the atmosphere plummeted to the depths of a late Millwall goal at the Valley. I never even got to rice pudding!

Actually, does anyone have proper afters anymore?

Insomnia here too! My questions for anyone itk and in particular @Redhenry and @Airman Brown .

    1) Is Varney behind the failed Saudi bid?
    2) Is there a business link (other than Jiminez), between Kevin Cash and Mike Ashley?

Sorry if the answers may seem obvious to others.
