Just went to Public and was very good. Better venue than Lewisham Model Market but less atmosphere. Will be back though, especially as I was ID'ed for the first time in about two years!1

Not really. Something has to be done about how slow and inefficient the ferry is and every evening this week the roads leading to it have been at a standstill.matt88 said:
So there’s no road crossing over the Thames in the 16 miles between Blackwall Tunnel and Dartford, and yet they’ve decided to spend millions of pounds building a tunnel right next to Blackwall Tunnel. Unbelievable.GlassHalfFull said:
The Silvertown Tunnel has been approved, in connection with which the WFF and Blackwall Tunnel may be tolled :

Traffic will still go up the A2 to get across the river, still think a bridge that links between Thamesmead and Gallons reach would be the best idea.matt88 said:

Keeping some traffic out of the the Woolwich area which is already very crowded and benefitting from large amounts of housing development is essential otherwise Woolwich will grind to a halt. Encouraging traffic towards the Dartford Crossings and Blackwell Tunnels is to me a good idea.0

That stretch of riverside has bags of potential and the path will provide easier access to the thameside studios and the artscafe.
The studios held an open weekend earlier this month.
Hundreds of studios over 7 acres, very interesting space.2 -

Apparently two fires, either side of QEH. 20 fire engines + 125 firefighters tackling it. Woolwich Common between Ha Ha Road + Shooters Hill is closed and loads of buses on diversion. Chaos.0
