    I'm actually quite shocked that finishing as low as 4th in the Luxembourg league qualifies you for a place in the europa league

    In other Scottish football news Celtic will play linfield, the match was due to he played on July 12th but has now been moved to Friday 14th and Celtic have refused there away allocation

    Yeah that's very bizarre. Rangers finished 3rd in a very poor league mind. Do Luxembourg have a play-off system for the Europa League or something? Or is this just the dark side of the Europa League summer that everyone qualified for and none of us ever pay attention to because it's early July?

    I think it's more a sign of how poor the Scottish league is rated now, that they are having teams playing as early as the 4th placed team from Luxembourg, and the other part timers of Europe's minnows!

    Must admit, even living in Luxembourg, i'd never heard of Progres Niederkorn ! - another thing is that they didn't even play on their home ground - it was moved to the National Stadium in Luxembourg city , some 30 k's from Niederkorn itself.
