Watched it live on FB. Was the worst press conference I've ever seen. Barely even mentioned Charlton in it.

I watched it too and completely agree. Felt like he'd been led into a room and only then told why he was there. Right from the start he was unprepared. Would have thought, with a professional comms guy in place, they would get the preparation right. Looked very amateurish.

Professional comms have been too busy firing out the bit about a free breakfast for Northampton away this week

Travelled down after training yesterday (Weds) on what would normally be a day off.

Assuming Thursday is now the day off so presser moved to Friday, before the team take the train up to Rochdale Friday PM.

Day off? How dare they take a day off, how much do these modern day footballers earn? Too much to take a day off from their 2 hours of training schedule in my opinion.

Besides I thought from now to the end of the season they were all ordered to die for the club, how are they going to do that if they have a day off?

Is it a day off so they can prepare mentally for an exhausting 3 hour train journey to Rochdale to stay in a 5 star hotel, take a sauna, have a massage and play a little friendly poker before retiring to bed early ready for a strenuous 90 mins (+10mins injury time) kick about on Saturday...followed by a day off on Sunday?

Before anyone responds, I am joking. (Although no days off next week, OK).

Really?! Are you saying Karl Robinson is lying?
  • So Roland has been on the phone to tell him we need to score two goals...

Bowyer coaching the players would explain the recent spike in Red cards at least.
  • 'We've got some of the best strikers in this league'

    No Karl, no we haven't

We had one and we sold him during the transfer window and not replaced him.

Permanent office for TD at the training ground.
  • Josh Magennis is 18th on the Top Scorer lists for League One this season and our highest Charlton player... From the below link he's also in the bottom six for the percentage of his shots that manage to get on target

I wonder if they have thought about setting up a goal at the training ground, or maybe just a couple of jackets on the ground and getting the players to shoot the ball into it, to simulate a match situation ???
Like they do in practice matches in Belgium.

It was a choice between tablecloths and jumpers, and Slade chose tablecloths
  • "We've got some of the best strikers"

    Better than the RMT?

Instead of Robert, it's going to be Arthur Fowler advising the players on a Christmas club scheme he has running and enquring if anyone would like to invest.

Nugent didn't want the job though. He was holding out for a more glamorous role at Barnet!

Wow...we've a new room for analysis. Was the lack of a room causing our downfall then? Or a lack of analysis? Spreadsheet is running!
