Perosonally I think it will be Malky Mackay or Steve Cotterill (if they go down the British route).

I'd be happy with Adkins as our manager

To be fair to KM etc, we've no idea what's going on behind the scenes, it could be Wilder stalling or making new demands. Considering it's 3 months to the start of the season, an extra day is hardly going to make a big difference to our summer recruitment
you would think not but we are already months behind in player recruitment and still to appoint a chief scout, DOF and a Manager.

I don't want Wilder to be manager now. This has gone beyond what is best for the club, it's about making Colin look even more stupid.

    Get in there!

You have to think that RD just isn't prepared to let the manager manage. Why else could this have fallen through?

This will happen again until we revert to type.

We really are in danger of dropping down to League 2 now. If they won't change their stance, then we won't get anyone of sufficient pedigree.

I don't think there's one thing they've touched that hasn't turned to shit.

Nailed on for a network no mark now. Plus, the we tried but this was the better option spin from the regime.

    Cretins the lot of them.

But well done for standing your ground CW. I reckon transfer control played a major part in the disagreement.

Come on Roland getting rejected by Northampton manager now. Do the right thing and sell up.

Being rejected by Wilder doesn't bother me too much. We should be going for managers with experience of getting promoted through L1 and the Championship

This is going to be another nail in the coffin, really hope they are gone before the new season starts.

What you think cause a manager said no, the owners are just going to leave??ahaha what world are you and a few others living in?
erm, no but it just proves how incapable they are of running a club and that nobody wants to touch us with a barge poll and this is also only going to give more ammunition for protesters, great attitude you've got yourself there may as well just sit back and accept they're going to be at our club for the next ten years eh? Prat.

Chris Wilder will not be the new #cafc manager. Really wanted job but club refused to put the assurances over control, buying etc in writing

My hunch is this was due to be confirmed late yesterday / early today but hit a hitch.

I don't expect it to be a major one, terms would have been known before talks and Wilder clearly wants the job (he would have spoke to others well in advance and that hasn't put him off). He holds the cards though in this so suspect a bit of last min negotiation is going on for him / his team.

My gut feeling says this will still go through later today / tomorrow. If it doesn't then the club look ridiculous and they know that.

    You've done it again mate!

The positive thoughts you keep having should be well and truly parked.

    ;-)
Ha, knew there was a hitch but didn't know what. Obviously more than a bit of positioning.

well adkins would suit after all were unhappy customers.

Nigel Adkins has acknowledged fans' anger after Sheffield United's poor season came to end end with an equally disappointing display against Scunthorpe United.

However, the Blades boss said he felt that frustration was in the nature of supporters at Bramall Lane and claimed that he experienced it before as an opposition manager.

He wanted assurances over control and buying? You mean he wanted to be able to choose his own players? Outrageous! What's Luzon up to....
