Too early for this thread or no?

Thought I'd get something started for everyone that appreciates all the off season goings-on. The annual draft is only two weeks away.

This morning it was announced that the LA Rams (weird) have traded up to the first overall pick of this year's draft. You'd imagine they're targetting their QB, get them in place for the return of their team. On the flip side of the trade, the Tennessee Titans have a glut of incredible picks in this year's (and next year's) draft to really help them build a capable team. I wonder who will end up getting the best value out of that trade...

Besides that, it's less than four hours until the season schedule is released.

How happy are you with your team's free agency dealings? Who are you hoping you kick off your season against?

Crazy trade - no QB in the draft is worth the amount they traded up for - it was nearly the same they got from Washington for trading up to get RG3.

Biggest ever trade up in the draft order I believe. Titans have got a great deal there and are a franchise worth keeping an eye on over the next few years.

So the season kicks off on the night of the 8th of September with a super bowl rematch.
  • Smart trade by the Titans. Nobody thinks the top of the draft has much. Madness by the Rams. The chance so f this paying off are slim, but they must be confident that they've spotted a franchise quarterback.

This trade will make the Titans a team to watch over next 3 seasons.

Got a decent young quarterback there already and these extra high value draft picks this year and next should see some improvements.

Am happy with Raiders wheeling dealing so far in off season.

Think it's a bit of a PR move as much as anything, moving city and having number 1 pick. Must also have spotted their next quarterback to ruin.

So the draft is tonight. Coverage starts at midnight on Sky Sports 1. Can't see anything other than 2 QBs going to LA and Philadelphia after all the picks they both gave up to get there.

Can't wait. It'll get interesting once the first two picks are out of the way. Sounds like Wentz is the better of the two there but fully expect Goff to go to the Rams.

Interested to see where the likes of Bosa, Buckner, Jack and Ramsey end up, as well as Lynch actually.

Could we see any late trades? I heard Titans and Ravens could trade for sixth pick.

Big day for the Raiders. Looks like the Las Vegas move is getting traction. beckham is there and is going to push for a Vegas MLS team as well.

Bearing in mind how long it takes to complete a game that has an average of only 11 minutes or so playing time, how many years does it take to complete one season?

Does everyone in NFL world do everything really slowly and keep having to go backwards in order to progress? Is their life constantly interrupted by trivial matters and do they never seem to get anything done?

Just out of interest really, that's all.

Chuck it in Room 101 with nachos and popcorn at the cinema, Jazz Funk and anything associated with Heart FM!!

    Kerpoppycock!!!

(Yes, my record has broken!).

Draft is more fun when your team is terrible, at least with the new GM I'm more likely to trust who we (Washington) pick in the 20s than what we'd do in the top 5 in the past.

Interesting first night. Was hoping the Raiders picked Myles jack but his injury killed him. He would have been 1st pick pre injury

Could still be there for the Raiders in the second round given how his first day went. His fall, and Tunsil's, were probably the stories of the night.

Couple of other interesting bits were Dallas taking a running back with the fourth pick, and Denver trading up for the QB Lynch.

What trades did the Pats lose? I imagine first round this year would have been 29/30, do they lose second round too?

The Pats have picks 60 and 61 at the end of the second round.

They would've picked 29th had they not had their first rounder docked.

Let's see if they draft a long snapper again, or perhaps a kick blocker, or a punt return specialist

Looking forward to 2nd and 3rd rounds tonight. This is where you get the real value and your core team. Still a number of 1st rounders available who have question marks.
