The way things are going CARD should organise the creation of a memorial for all those who have laid down their jobs in the Great War (against Roland Duchatelet)...
A wreath laying ceremony at the final home game, that sort of thing.
(Obviously not seeking to be disrespectful to anyone other than certain Belgians).0 -
No surprise after being undermined by Roland Rant on Tuesday Evening. Best out of the madhouse.2

Not unless she is claiming discrimination / sexual harassment, which seems unlikely.SurvivaloftheFittest said:I'm no employment lawyer, but could Mel pursue constructive dismissal?

20 staff now left the club since January 2014?0

Unless it was based on some element of discrimination then no - she needs 2 years service to be able to take the Club to tribunal.SurvivaloftheFittest said:I'm no employment lawyer, but could Mel pursue constructive dismissal?

Not with 46 days service she can't.SurvivaloftheFittest said:I'm no employment lawyer, but could Mel pursue constructive dismissal?
Zero rights pretty much

Well done to Mel for showing dignity in a sea of contempt.
For those calling for her to 'spill the beans' then think on this - her dignity and professionalism would be badly dented if she did that.7 -

Having met and heard what Mel had to say, at the Bromley meeting, I believe she wanted to make things work and understood the importance of listening to fans.
It wasn't a good career move for her and best wishes for the future.0 -
she'll be taking up an easier role... She's taking on PR for Donald Trump in the UK13

Roland's probably going to sue her for constructive resignation.SurvivaloftheFittest said:I'm no employment lawyer, but could Mel pursue constructive dismissal?

Standing by her principles and stood up against the rgime, should sing her name loud at the next home game.2

Somebody brought to the club by this regime that has integrity and a moral compass, good on you Mel and I hope your career isn't harmed by your dalliance with CAFC.2

She'll probably say Mel didn't agree with the statement, but that the statement had been misrepresentedseth plum said:Who or what will Katrien blame this one on?

Wow. Good on you girl!
Hope she gets snapped up quick by someone more deserving.
She's obviously a principled person.0 -

Though, obviously, my looks and personality wouldn't have helped either.

Wouldn't surprise me if her team followed suit and resigned, or with them being fans would they try and stick it out and wait for change?0

Ah sue Parkes. Not seen any quotes from her of late.Covered End said:
In fairness Sue Parkes kind of highjacked the conversation & Chris invited me to The Millenium Lounge.LuckyReds said:
So what you're saying is....Covered End said:I spoke to Mel after The Bromley Supporters meeting ended on February 25th.
I explained that the attendees had been ever so nice and didn't really reflect the mood of the majority of supporters. I offered my opinion, that she could be the best Communications Manager in the world and still wouldn't be able to succeed, with RD & KM at the helm.
I met her again by invitation, 2 days later in The MIllenium Lounge, to "finish" our conversation.
Sorry guys, it looks like she has heeded my advice, after Roland no doubt ignored her/ her advice.
All the best to Mel. She seemed like a pleasant and efficient type, so she was never going to last.
The only time a senior member of staff has listened to a fan in the last 2 years she's only been there a couple of weeks, and the advice she listened too was to resign?!
Fair play to her for giving you the opportunity of a second meeting though, a very decent courtesy when she must've already been aware of how the conversation was likely to end. Her attitude seemed spot on.
(Possibly, he did it to get rid of me, assuming I'd decline).6 -
Must be incredibly frustrating not being able to voice your opinion on the club if you're a fan.Marriott110 said:Wouldn't surprise me if her team followed suit and resigned, or with them being fans would they try and stick it out and wait for change?

My CV will be on KM's desk in the morning, see if they got any positions available that would suit an ex shopkeeper.
Reckon I could do Comms and Safety at the same time as kicking the ball back when it goes down the tunnel0 -
