Don't see the problem of it myself.
Raises a very good point. Certain players are hiding behind the other issues and it isn't good enough.4 -
Fan in digging out player shock.4
-
Extremely overrated player . Even last season . This year he has been a disgrace though, as have many4
-
I have some sympathy if i'm honest, i'm as angry as any fan at the current state of play within the club and the shambles it has become but to sing/chant to one of your own players like that isn't on in my view, even though I think Reza is so far out of his depth he couldn't even cope in League 1.
Whatever happened to support the team not the regime.......8 -
I think it's a fan responding to a player digging out fans !FishCostaFortune said:Fan in digging out player shock.

Tbf he was reacting to some stick giving to Reza for having a shot at a difficult angle.

3 assists two games ago3

Like so many, just going through the motions till May when he (and they) can pack up their boots and leave.5

some of our fans are so precious its laughable. Reza was poor and lashed at that chance but JBG showing disdain for the fans reaction at least shows a togetherness in the team which may be our only hope of getting out of this mess. As fans we need to look at our own performances too. The east stand where i sit is like a fucking library! How hard is it to join in a few chants/songs. Also the protest chanting during games is not helpful IMO,
BTW i thought/JBG showed effort/interest today.7 -

Was yet another joke chant from the fans to be honest...
This is another case of fans being able to give abuse to the players but not being able to take the criticism back9 -
Players like Reza mean the team are the regime unfortunately.Rob7Lee said:I have some sympathy if i'm honest, i'm as angry as any fan at the current state of play within the club and the shambles it has become but to sing/chant to one of your own players like that isn't on in my view, even though I think Reza is so far out of his depth he couldn't even cope in League 1.

Tbf to JBG it was pathetic singing that after Rezas shot. I'm sure it does wonders for their confidence...12

Didn't hear what was sung, but fuck him. People pay their money, they can have an opinion if they want.
Fed up with these clowns trying to shift the blame onto everyone else but themselves.
If he doesn't like what the fans sing, he knows where the door is.9 -
That works both ways. If they want the adulation when things are good they can take the criticism when it's not.ForeverAddickted said:Was yet another joke chant from the fans to be honest...

Usually fans sing that particular chant to make fun of opposition strikers, not their own.10
-
Don't give it if you can't take it. The booing that Ba received when he came on was embarrassing. Hasn't even kicked a ball yet gets abuse. He at least got things going and put himself about.10

This is so true. When Katrien calls fans 'customers' in her 2nd language in a business meeting, she is the Devil incarnate.ForeverAddickted said:Was yet another joke chant from the fans to be honest...

However it's okay apparently for fans to wreck the players' confidence and make the most vile comments on You Tube videos etc.
We lost the high ground a while ago. Even if RD leaves we will have nothing to be proud of.5 -
Must admit, i dont get t every home game, but vurtually every time i have seen JBG lay i have to double check to make sure he's still on the pitch. Thought yesterday was one of his better games - despite every chance (and he had a few) being blocked - but maybe that was down to good defending.0

I agree with JBG.3

Does that not apply to Roland Duchatelet and Richard Murray?...If you must kvetch, at least don't be a hypocrite.Brendan_O_Connell said:Didn't hear what was sung, but fuck him. People pay their money, they can have an opinion if they want.

He's been way way below par all season long.0

Cant understand the abuse of our own players during the game, cant do the team any good.save the abuse for message boards/forums if you have to but to get on players backs during the game is poor support2

JBG is a sensitive soul.
Johann said last season that he got upset when the crowd got frustrated with all the pass backs.
Johann got upset when under Peeters, his coaches spoke in Dutch, and slagged him off.
Johann got upset with the antics of Tony Watt.
Johann is gutted that he isn't good enough to play for Man United,
his favourite team.
I don't slag the players off, but after 40 odd home defeats in 3 and a half seasons under this and the old regime i can understand fans who do.

Don't talk to me about togetherness in that team as when Cousins went down nobody went up to the ref to stop the game, and despite it being obvious for 6 mins he was in trouble Poyet was sitting on the bench not even thinking about replacing him so we brought on a forward for a midfielder which could have cost us the game.
As for Reza there was a moment when he won us a throw, he got the ball feigned to take a quick throw in threw the ball down then walked away showing no interest in the game or Solly who was taking the throw. That to me was an absolute disgrace. Ok players can slice a chance but his body language in that moment and when he walked off shows he no interest in us as a club and the fact we he to have him in our starting line shows where we are.6 -
He thought he was being sold in the Jan window and played out of his skin at Roth.
Went he wasn't sold - and he played sh*t against Brissle and now looks like he couldn't care less.
Shame - as he is a quality player, and we don't have many of those.0 -
I don't believe in castigating someone for an opinion, but this is absolute drivel, other than the last paragraphValiantphil said:He thought he was being sold in the Jan window and played out of his skin at Roth.

Oh nice, we are gonna get on the back of our most creative players now. The Valley is poisonous at the moment, and chanting against one of our players because he hit a shot over. Nice one.3
