    Not a bad appointment IMHO. Did well with us last time and has expressed an afinity for the club. Colour me (fairly) pleased. After all, we could have got far worse.

    This. I genuinely had a little fist pump when I saw he was appointed. Could be far, far worse. Has the track record of having gotten us out of a very similar position (games in hand, I know I know), seems to like the club, is a hands on COACH (unlike many British managers), and as stated in various other threads I'm not all that impressed by the British managers currently available.

    Plus, who would want to come manage us right now? It's a hiding to nothing. Best we can expect.

    KM still needs to go, and Roland either needs to staff the club properly or go himself.

    He's not the answer... but out of the realistic ones - de Corte, Euell, Riga, McLoughlin, Vignjevic... he is the most preferred.

    I like Riga but this just isn't an acceptable appointment, it's a shambles, if he's good enough now why wasn't he appointed 18 months ago. As VG said this is just laziness.

    Anybody who is happy with this appointment, which I'm sure there are some and I don't necessarily blame them - but you can't back off if you are happy with it. We need the Belgians out, whatever happens.

    We need a full-scale military attack at Blackburn. Katrien out Roland out, get the f*ckers out. Out out out.
