    In many ways it would be a younger more mobile version of Yann.

    I would set the ambition question slightly differently and immediately rule out the top two as that requires 90 points. Or two points a game throughout the season. To have a sensible crack at that we would need another 5 x €2m players! Oh and that would mean pushing out five players who have just been signed on long term deals.
    On the other hand we need 36 or 37 points
    from 23 games to be sixth at Christmas. And I think we can get there or thereabouts. But that requires beating bottom half teams. Every game between now and Christmas is a test - perhaps we come through and perhaps not but I think we have a fair crack at 18 points from 12 games.
    And all this economic argument about more fans returning to see a winning team... I used to believe that but I don't see much evidence so far. Therefore who is paying to enhance (not guarantee) our chances?
