  • A thread about Yann where someone has already said move on
all we need is someone to mention Poyet sitting on a bench and Brighton being up north and we have a full set

I know this should be on the Creative Player thread but what about Dale Stephens as that sort of spark we need? ;)

Think he might be injured not even been on the bench all season

I didn't realise he had left. Just thought he wasn't good enough to make the team anymore.

Me too, just wish someone had mentioned it before as I feel silly now

Any player I want is well out of our price range, any player I think could be good is a gamble and we've had enough flops. I'd like him back. He's not as good as made out but he'd work well in this team. Every time I've see him play on the FLS for Bournemouth he still plays people in and passes so well.

It's very unrealistic though. Would he want to come back? Would we have him back? Would Bournemouth want him to go on loan to strengthen a team doing better than them?

We're not gonna buy him and can't see them loaning him.

Sounds like a sinking job for @Uboat‌ or @ThreadKiller‌ then. :-0
  • Damn, read the thread title and thought, its happening we are getting him back on loan, got over excited as thought surely someone has not started yet another Yann thread, now im sulking.

Igor and Yann upfront together is a top 6 pairing, never mind................ :(
  • Call Me Colin, but haven't the Bournemouth fans been saying that he isnt half the player this year as last season. Looks unfit and generally ineffective - and doesn't really fit into their system?

I remember comments about Yann's fitness and over weight at the beginning of the season
  • Yann Shouldve stayed we were the only club he was a success at he chose to go, nothing like dwelling on the past, wait for bent to sign and all will be forgotten, another one who shouldn't have left

If popular rumours at the time are to be believed, Yann was sold to Bournemouth against his will.

Maybe his excess weight has been caused by a heartbroken summer of comfort eating

    I'd have him back.....
  • I'd rather someone younger at this point.

Remember who was playing striker when we couldn't score to save our lives? Oh yeah...
  • Was it Alex dyer
  • No

    Was it Bradley Allen

Not getting near the Brighton side despite them struggling.

Think he's had one league cup start so far.

We were after him as the foil to Igor but i assume we offered less than Brighton. Brighton had sold Ulluo so had more readies.

How can he be sold against his will? If he wanted to stay he wouldn't have signed on the dotted line at Bournemouth...

Yann was a good Championship player and if fit would have looked even better in this team alongside Igor and with more/better service. Just the type of player we need, a big strong targetman that is also good on the ball. For me he's not one that "wasn't as good as we thought".

Nice one Yann. Playing for a move back to his real home.

  • So, let's get this right...

He's NOT playing for a team, that is lower in the league than us?

And this would make us better, how? In case you'd all missed it, there are only 2 teams unbeaten in the Championship, and one is us.

I'm sure Big Bob would be delighted if we went back to last season's hoof ball. And I'm sure signing a 33 year old striker fits into Duchatalet's plan of signing, and playing, young players!

I never thought I would say this, but ffs can we please move on?

In case you've missed it, we're missing a decent target man who can hold the ball up. Yann is one.

    Colin.
  • Was it Colin upfront

Could've sworn.the striker we needed when we couldn't score for toffee was Pawell abbot

If he's fit yes he would make us better. Do we know why he isn't in Bournemouth's team? Who are their other strikers now?

Playing a targetman doesn't mean the team play hoof ball.

Agree he's not the sort of signing RD would want but he is the type of player we need.

Why the fuck can't people learn to use the word "have"?
