Please, please can you find a job for Chris Powell, please. Surely he can be an ambassador for you Club and pick a wage up that way or how about a programme seller or a tea boy?, anything !?.

Just get this Man out of our Club and away from our Players, PLEASE and sharpish.

'cos you were doing soooooo well before he arrived!
  • Reminds me of when Powell first took charge here. Crap players and struggled. Was allowed to overhaul the squad that summer and the rest is history.

I am a little disappointed but not totally shocked - it was a very similar situation when he took over at Charlton. A pretty poor squad, demotivated players and fans with no real expectations of glory... and a rocky start to the job.
  • @LeedsbasedTownfan‌

You presumably remember the 2010-11 season?

Your wage bill that season was £6.8m. You finished 4th and scraped up through the play offs

Our wage bill was £4.5m. We finished champions with a record breaking 101 points.

I expect you are intelligent enough to work out that this means you spent 50% more than we did, to achieve a lot less. Now who was it who worked that magic? Well blow me down, it was Chris Powell.

Now, please do what @Redskin proposes

  • It's actually quite brilliant. People will just not accept that Powell isn't that good a manager and it confuses me as to why. Huddersfields team isn't that bad.

There's always an excuse to powells shortcomings with a lot of people on here, oh it's the fans, oh it's the board, oh the players aren't good enough. We saw with Riga our players were good enough. Hudds saw with Lillis their players do have something about them.

It's mind boggling. It really is.

SCP, still working for us. Helping to make sure another team is below us. Reza doing the same job at Blackpool. Just need Redfern to sort it out.

At 5:21pm, 30 minutes after you suffer a 3 nil defeat at Elland Road you come on to one of Powell's former clubs forums begging us to take him off your hands. Did you do the same on the Southend, Derby, Leicester, Watford, Palace and West Ham forums? Did you even witnesses your beloved Terrier's this afternoon in action?

It's a bit like a Bradford fan coming on here and moaning about Parkinson. No, they have got more class not to do that.

We don't care what happens with our former managers/players in the same league as us, unless they are below us in the league table.

Grow a pair or find a loving partner that might you stop being such a prat to come on here and moan about something we cannot do anything about.

    Whoops!
  • Good spot @shirty5. Despite being "Leeds based" he didn't even go to the massive local derby for his team in the city where he lives.

Not really sure what your point is. No-one is saying Powell is a world-beater, just that claiming he's a disaster after three games is hilariously short-sighted. He's proven he can manage a team at this level, and he also had a poor season in this league. Blackpool were right at the top of the league this time last year with Paul Ince as manager. Give him a chance

LGBT - Hopefully he does leave and your non-descript, borefest of a football club that nobody gives a toss for can be binned off from the Championship for good. You don't deserve him.

I reckon if Chris Powell started his own side people would start supporting them instead of Charlton

Looking at the Huddersfield squad it is obvious to me that you are under performing. With players like Wells, Hammel, Hudson, Scannel, Vaughan you should be higher up the table. But Powell has only been there five minutes, give him a chance.

Must not forget that when Powell came to us, he won a few, lost a lot for the remainder of that season. During summer said goodbye to about 20 players and brought in about 14 new players, who, if we believe rumours, were recommended by Denis Wise. If you remember we then won the division, so be patient and who knows may happen to you

From the football league show highlights the Huddersfield defence looked distinctly questionable.

One thing Chris Powell does is sort things out at the back. Give the man time and he will do a decent job for you.
