It probably says more about me than I am comfortable with but every time I have looked at the site over the last two or three days I've read this thread title as "Wife testing".

Either one, you feel a bit guilty about using the neighbours'.

I sit in the middle of the east and connected to the wifi pretty well today. Loading pages was a bit intermittent though.

I'm a bit of a social media fiend but I realised yesterday I didn't pull my phone out once during the game. Didn't even bother at half time but the bloke next to me was keeping track of the other scores (lots of "f***ing Wigan") so maybe that was why.

I tend to keep up to date with other scored, which during the game works fine. It just goes slow during half time when, I assume, many other fans are doing something on their phone.

If WiFi makes it easier to get scores at half time then I'm all for it. However, I wouldn't pay for it, but then if enough do, the 3G reception will be quick enough as there will be fewer people using it.
I take my trusty tranny with me to games and she reliably keeps me informed of all the scores.

Still I guess I should get with the times and try to use unreliable internet connections to do the same thing.

But where would that leave my tranny?

Doesn't matter whether you use your wife or a bloke dressed as your wife, most of us are broad minded.
But if you want up to date scores and league tables...

As long as you don't mention the premiership scores and ruin match of the day for everyone in ground you should be fine with your tranny.

    ....my tranny can't be beat.

Except that one time, which, frankly, didn't end well.
  • It's a good idea for checking other scores and something to do at half time (which can be quite boring).

    it does beg the question what do you do if you are going to a match directly from work by public transport and need to have your laptop / ipad with you for the next day.;

Aren't United claiming it is a "security issue" and that they would need to scan everyone's bags like they do at the airport?

Nothing to do with people filming the game, then.

Did anyone manage to connect on Saturday? They promoted it on the big screen, so I tried again but didn't manage to connect

Wifi at the valley was very good on Saturday and meant I could keep @NomadicAddick‌ up to date while he was at work!

Didn't even realise there was new new wifi there, the updates were top notch and resulted in me screaming in a customers face when we won it.... great stuff from the club :)

Some people complain about any change as they're against modern football despite being born in the 90s. I wonder if they want the back pass rule banned as well?

It stopped working for me later on, so I went back to 3G which usually doesn't work at all. Fortunately, enough people were on the wifi that 3G worked fine.

Wifi worked well before kick off and up to 10 minutes in to the game. Unfortunately after that as so many people was logged on, using facebook messenger to organise a half time pint wasn't happening.
