  • Stewart put in the crosses that lead to the first two goals as well as some other crossed, worked well with wiggins going forward, covered him at the back and threw his body in to block a shot on the edge of the box. But apart from that what does he offer? : - )

    You must be his dad.

  • Alnwick 7.5
Solly 8 great to see him back
    Morrison 7.5
Wood 8.5 great to see him back too
    Wiggins 8 great performance
Wilson 8.5 I'm a fan and glad to see him cheered and not booed
Stephens 7 still disappears too often
Cousins 9 mom . Based mostly on second half he was immense
Stewart 6 another of those talented wingers with attitude
Church 7.5 run his socks off
    Kermorgant 8.5 was superb today.

    Solly - 7.5
Morrison - 7.5 (looks more confident playing alongside Solly)
    Wood - 7.5

    Wilson - 8
    Stephens - 7.5
    Cousins - 7.5
    Stewart - 7
    Church - 7
    Kermorgant - 8

Officals very poor (both Brighton goals offside)
  • Alnwick 7.5. First choice keeper now. Set up Solly well with a free kick
Solly. 8. What a miss he has been. Makes the team and the right mid look so much better. Got into good crossing positions and snapped into tackles
    Morrison. 7. Solod
Wood 8. We have never lost a league game he has started. That is not a coincidence
Wiggins. 8.5 Maurading runs one of which won the FK for Yanns goal
Wilson 8.5 Two well taken goals and a whole hearted performance. Deserved his standing ovation but perhaps not the song
Stephens. 7. Agressive and tried to make things happen. Closing down their keeper left us short in the middle for their first goal. Someone should have covered. Also thought he was fouled in the build up?
Cousins 7. Up against Bridcut and ince. A few errors but strong and always involved
Stewart 7.5 see above. They subbed their full back at HT to cope with him and wiggo. Set up first two goals
Church. 7 typical running and hard wprk, typical powerpuff shots
Kermorgant 8.5 Agressive, moaning, timewasting, skillful, passing, holding it up, drawing fouls and cards or to say it another way, Yann at his best. And that's without mentioning the free kick

  • Alnwick - 7.5 - Would on balance prefer him to Hamer, he comes to claim the ball well from crosses without flapping everywhere, his kicking is a worry though
Solly - 7.5 - Very good, turned players over a couple of times and great going forward. Great to see him working with Wilson so well.
    Morrison - 7.5 - Solid
    Wood - 7.5 - Solid also
Wiggins 8.5 - Exceptional. Really proves to be the difference so often
Wilson - 9 MOM. Best game I've seen him play, and one of the few we have seen this season where he is playing in his preferred position. I have felt for a long time like he is a lot better than people give him credit for (to be fair I thought that about Pritchard too!!!) and I hope he continues to shine
Stephens - 7 - He is awful at the easy stuff but amazing at the difficult stuff.
    Cousins - 7.5 - Consistently good
Stewart - 6 - His first half performance left me hoping he would be taken off, he offered absolutely 0 defensively and little going forward, transformed after HT.
    Church - 7.5 - 10/10 for effort, 5/10 for his ability as a striker
Kermorgant - 8.5 - We love him, and what a goal, but also a great performance all round.

The refs were awful, but gave a lot of poor decisions both ways, just the more important ones went their way...

Have no strong feelings on Stewart one way or the other. However, he was atrocious first half pulling out of tackles and even pulling out of a header. Kermongant was getting very angry with him and towards the end of the half read him the riot act. He didn't celebrate the goal and for me , on today's performance, was poor. To mention that his poor cross eventually got through to him for the first goal is ludicrous.

  • Yann back to his best today - Cousins played well and Wilson grew into the game and deserved his goals
  • Alnwick 7 Took crosses well, thought he should have got a hand to their goal
Solly 8 Has made a huge difference, class, but not yet fully fit
    Morrison 7 Solid enough
    Wood 7 Ditto
Wiggins 8 Great forward runs, back to his best
Wilson 8 Works so well in front of Solly, can finish as well
Stephens 7 Gives it away cheaply at times, otherwise, very good game
Cousins 8 Great energy and composure for a youngster
Stewart 7 Injured for most of first half, excellent second
Church 7 Offers so many options, always looking for Cousins through balls.
Kermorgant 9 Back to his best, beast of a player
  • Alnwick 7 Seemed to go down slowly for their goal. Handling under pressure was good
Solly 7 Almost back to his best despite a long layoff. Linked well with Wilson and got forward effectively
Morrison 7.5 Held firm against a mobile centre forward
Wood 8 Magnificent defending and won virtually every header
Wiggins 8.5 Defended well and made a number of fantastic attacking runs (like he used to do!)
Wilson 8.5 MOM Great to see a midfielder get into the box and shoot - accurately. Not once but twice. Gets MOM for the goals
Stephens 8 After a torrid first half hour he and Cousins got a grip and in the second half Dale bossed the midfield
Cousins 8 Played as if he was a seasoned pro.
Stewart 5 I agree with Paulie and Masicat. Evina showed a greater threat in the few minutes he was on than Stewart in the rest of the game
Church 6.5 Usual all action and pushed their defence back but never seemed to get into a position to score
Kermorgant 8 Won all his headers (what's new there??) and surely he is the best at free kicks in this division.

I don't know what CP said at half-time but it certainly worked. Talk about a game of two halves!

  • Alnwick - 7 - Not much he could have done for their Goal, was commanding when coming for any crosses thereafter though.

Solly - 7.5 - Bit rusty in the first half with a couple of passes but its bloody good to have him back... So calm in keeping the ball at the end.

Morrison - 8 - Solid at the back... I like his partnership with Richard Wood

Wood - 7.5 - Same as Morrison, his distribution wasnt as good as it can be though

Wiggins - 8 - Did a great run down the wing in the first half (Classic Wiggins) and kept Lopez quiet out on the wing.

Wilson - 9 - Two great finishes, has a great partnership with Solly, they really work well together.

Cousins - 8.5 - Every game I expect him to be given a rest but he's always there... Possible POTY, dead cert for Young Player of the Year!!

Stephens - 7.5 - As someone said, makes the hard things easy, makes the easy things hard... Did well at one point closing down the 'keeper yet when the ball went forward to their Midfielder (who started the build up to their goal) it went into the position Stephens should have been in.

Stewart - 6 - Not impressed today, he's had better days.

Church - 7 - As someone said... 10/10 for effort, 6/10 for being a Striker - Proper Charlton player

Kermorgant - 9 - Didnt lose a header, Mrs Yann is gonna kill him tonight when he takes those shorts home for her to wash... Fully deserved his goal, like Jackson he'll probably only ever miss out on POTY because of the Youngsters coming through
  • Deserved his standing ovation but perhaps not the song

Couldn't get there today - heard from another poster about the song - Bang out of order

  • edited December 2013
Alnwick 7 - didn't do much wrong all game, seems to have a good understanding with the defenders
Solly 8.5 - how can he play so well after being out the team for so long???
Morrison 7 - solid, works well with Wood next to him
Wood 7 - solid also, see Morro
Wiggins 8.5 - looks back to his best, ghosted past defenders at times
Wilson 8 - couple of well taken goals and complimented Solly well, covered when needs and decision making was generally excellent
Stephens 7.5 - coped excellently in a 2v3 midfield battle. overwhelmed for the first half hour but fought back well
Cousins 7.5 - see Stephens, willing to put his body on the line for the cause
Stewart 7 - game of two halves for him
Church 7 - ran the channels well, troubled and turned their centre backs all afternoon
Kermorgant 9 - the beast, the big man. covered in mud head to toe at FT, needs a new contract asap if he's going to keep putting in performances like that

My first game in three months. The good news is I'm going on Sunday as well! Fingers crossed I've become lucky.
