We have a chance in every away game - the fact that we have a job scoring means so do our opponents!
  • Best we don't get any injurys
  • Typical Charlton that we visit Yeovil who are on a roll right now. If they score first, well you know the rest of the story.
  • Powelly stayed out on his own and gave the fans a clap he looked so dejected.

Must put more pressure on owners to sell surely, they can't be interested in owning a League 1 club again if they don't even want a Championship one

Problem is surely does anyone else want to own a League 1 Club? This result must gave knocked a few quid off the figure they are after.

Was there tonight, fans were superb.

Completely different teams after the subs, not sure why church was taken off instead of yann though.

Maybe Powell finally realises that playing two wide midfielders in the wide midfield position actually works?

Great performance, just needed a little more luck in front of goal.
  • It's not sordells fault when piggot is brought on before him he must really
    Wonder what he's done wrong
Powell must have lost faith in him so no wonder he has?

Didn't expect anything tonight but by all accounts we were unlucky and deserved something. Nevertheless unexpected wins for Yeovil, Barnsley & Sheff Wed made it a very bad night. Very big game at Yeovil on Saturday, lose that and we are really in the mire.

  • Sounded half decent but we're so powder puff with spongefoot up front , just gotta wait for him to miss another 20 chances before he puts another away and we can say how good he is again

those results from teams below made me puke

    60% 13th-21st ....... 40% League One and target 10k

Sordell did well when he came on, don't understand why he doesn't play like that every week.

A mixture of confidence and horses for courses perhaps. Sounded like Kermo wasn't winning the aerial battles tonight so surprising he didn't go off instead of Church!

Cause Sordell gets an average of 4mins action per week...
  • We are the joint lowest scorers in the football league with Yeovil and Plymouth.
Should be a cracker on Saturday.

    Just on the way back,

The first 60 mins were no different to Ipswich at home, no cohesion, poor in possession and toothless.

3 changes changed the game with a minute, credit to go to all three who showed a real urgency and attacking threat (yes including Sordell) and you wouldn't have begrudge us a point, the difference was startling.

I think it shows in the results tonight and our second performance that anyone can take anyone and we are to timid in how we play at times

Fantastic support especially in the second half - never stopped, and would have been worthy of a result on its own, the reading fans didn't know what hit them 2nd half

We're up against but at least the last 25 minutes made it look like we would be up for it!

I think the owners would sell the club tomorrow so no pressure needed there. It's a buyer we need and hopefully there is one in the pipeline.

If there isn't our stock is falling each and every game and we look less attractive the longer it goes on.

We release Fuller, Haynes and BWP... And were struggling for goals?! What I would do for Fuller now

Powelly stayed out on his own and gave the fans a clap he looked so dejected.

He doesn't know where he is going to be in 6 months, moving house, moving the kids to another school, moving to a dreary part of the country - looking for work? Taking jobs he doesn't want? Uncertainty after uncertainty - for him & a lot of the players.
  • Sordell caused all sorts of problems when he came on. Church ran around a lot. Which one should play striker? Stewart pony until we put them under pressure, then merely average. Cousins class. Morro not up to this division, must try DD & Wood.

Thought both centre backs were pretty poor today, a lot of backing off when Reading players were stood in front of them (causing the first goal). Wood needs to come back soon because he's a lot better than either of the starters at the moment.

Can't really do aways anymore so a no show from me tonight but sounds like another reasonable but toothless performance.

Really fed up with the result especially as Palace (who had a little investment but all agreed used it unwisely) managed to win 1-0.

Not having a pop at CP but it does show you what a manager with a bit of guile brings.

I know the division is tight but starting to worry again.... A week ago it looked like we could easily push on.
  • We release Fuller, Haynes and BWP... And were struggling for goals?! What I would do for Fuller now

It wasn't a bad management decision though was it, they were released to save on wages, we simply could not afford them and we cant afford any better than what we have.
  • Mind u fuller got himself sent off tonight
  • A point would have been a decent result, but a lot of the action in front of their goal was more hit it and hope that crafted chances. We threw everyone forward - Morro had a decent cameo as a attacking midfielder for about 5 mins but took too many touches and just didn't have any luck.

Would love to see the penalty shout - if it was given as a goal kick, surely we had last contact, ergo our player was fouled in the penalty area. Guess that may have been covered on the match thread but it was bewildering from the south stand.

Fantastic support tonight and a really good reaction from the team to it as well. They looked disappointed at the end, but they had a right crack at it and had Reading doing all the defending. Not what I expected after the first half.
  • We are joint lowest scorers in the football league, alongside Yeovil and Plymouth. So poor.

Let's forget the first half and, yes, we are in the shit, but what an enjoyable evening. Fantastic support in the second half especially. A Reading season ticket holding friend of mine said we were the loudest this year apart from Leeds.

We've lost 1-0 quite a few times this season. The sad thing is as soon as the opposition score you know we've lost. Very sad but the team is heading for relegation. I don't care how lazy Sordell is, I'm sure if he plays every week he will score more than Church. Running around a lot with no end product counts for nothing.
