  • Thanks to the club considering CharltonTV subscribers somewhat equivalent to season ticket holders, I’ve secured the tickets I needed. Now we get our big day out and three generations of Addicks spanning about 60 years of support can share the Wembley experience. It means a lot.

Big shout out to Clare Rathbone from NAAddicks and Tom Rubashow for helping to make it happen.
Wait, when and where was this? Was having to wait to purchase but if Charlton TV season subscriptions count then I could get tickets now?

I haven't been able to get to many games this season for personal reasons, so I have to wait for Tuesday's phase before I can purchase tickets.

Hoping for 3 seats next to each and don't mind where we sit as long as we get in.

Reckon I've got a good chance? I'm starting to worry with how fast tickets are selling
In a similar boat but not worried, the majority of people buying in restricted phases will have by now
I'm sure you're right but the panic has started to set in! I'm gonna try ignore it until Tuesday afternoon

    @Airman Brown

do you have any concept of how many different CAFC fans might have attended games this season? Obviously you have 8,500ish STHs but then the match by match sales, I guess there are many fans who might have attended only 1 or 2 or handful of matches.

No real reason for the question other than wondering out of interest as a comparison! E.g. if circa 25,000 CAFC fans have watched us at home at some point during this season, Vs whatever the final tally of our Wembley sales is.
I've not been to a game for five years, I'll be at Wembley if there are tickets going on Tuesday. When I was 16-22 I would have hated myself as a fan who never shows up, and thought I had no right to roll up for a Wembley final, but I guess your perspective changes over time. Charlton will always be in my heart. I was there in 1998 and 2019. Can't wait for Sunday.
Absolutely. I’m not criticising any non attenders ! Just out of interest, and also I guess as a bit of a gauge of how many “hangers on” might be in the crowd Vs actual Charlton fans (whether they are regular attenders or not - Charlton fan is a Charlton fan)
No criticism at all. I'll be there with another lad from school who I went with in 2019, we don't really stay in touch but we know we're both Addicks and on occasions like this we make an effort to go together. I love the fact our club is bigger than average home attendances suggest.

    @ct_addick.

I saw this on the North American Addicks FB page:

Naaddicks:  I have just heard from the Club. For those trying to get tickets to Wembley, great news -- those Naaddicks with Charlton TV accounts are being given Level 2 priority.  IF YOU ARE INTERESTED, YOU NEED TO EMAIL ME YOUR NAME, EMAIL ADDRESS AND FAN ID NUMBER.  Check your email for all the details.  And please send ASAP because I need to get the information to Tom by 9am tomorrow (UK time).

Are you a member of the NA Addicks?
Ah just seen this buried on page 39. Unfortunately I am not in the NA Addicks Facebook group nor have I made that deadline. Unfortunate and hopefully something that will be properly considered as part of the phasing for Wembley games in the future.

It’s fine. Need a few together so will wait until my family can buy on Tuesday.
  • @AFKABartram - Thank you! assuming light blue is available and grey is not?
  • If I’ve already bought two and then want to buy another two, can I do that when it’s still in my eligibility criteria? I assumed so but keep getting an error on the website. I’m on my phone so can look properly on desktop in a bit.
I just did that for another fan so yes.  I had to link them to other ST holders on my account but if you've not used up your 4 ticket allocation you should be fine.
Thanks Henry - all done. Think it was me being a bit dumb earlier. Both for Charlton fans before the Valley Gold police jump on me.
  • @AFKABartram - Thank you! assuming light blue is available and grey is not?
    All those in colour available
  • @AFKABartram - Thank you! assuming light blue is available and grey is not?
No, everything shown is an available seat. The different colours are different prices. The cheapest tickets in grey have barely been touched in the upper tier blocks
  • @AFKABartram - Thank you! assuming light blue is available and grey is not?
I presume anything in colour is available, the white is sold out

  • Trying for an elderly neighbour who has a fan ID but no account online. He usually just goes to the  ticket office in person. He uses email but that's it. How can he use his ID in Tuesdays phase? I can't buy as I have used our 4 quota up as a Season Ticket holder. Can he somehow use the ID online and register an online web account to buy? Thanks.

You can reset a password by putting in the FAN ID. So if you have that and can access their email then you should be able to get a password reset sent

Alternatively if you have your own account you should be able to use your neighbours fan ID to add him as a relationship on your account, buy the tickets and then assign them to them
  • Apparently they can’t amend or refund, so I think I have the original tickets still, but not 100%. I’ll be up in the gods as far back as possible, but hopefully I have the tickets. Just awaiting confirmation, because I definitely went through a cancellation process.

Even if we sell our allocation I'm almost certain we'll get some of Orient's 36K.
They only managed to sell 10k By this morning and have been selling for a day longer than us.
No way they sell 30K & I think they'll struggle to sell 25K.

Do we know if there have been any precedents  for this?

I know Forest got no extra tickets for the 2022 play off final despite Huddersfield having swathes of empty seats - but perhaps this was because Hudds sold their seats ad hoc across the blocks anticipating close to sell out , Vs this time it sounds like they have controlled it a bit in the Orient end to pre empt the possibility

The rules says you can't cancel, amend, swap etc etc.
Go into your ticket account and on the left hand side click on tickets or history.
    My Wembley purchases show there.

You’re definitely looking at the back half of the upper tier but there were still quite a lot left when I was buying mine earlier. I reckon you’ll get some somewhere. I think the biggest block of fans will have been season ticket holders and those buying for mates. Can’t be many Valley Gold members who weren’t also eligible in Phase 2. Likewise a lot of Phase 4 probably knows a season ticket holders who got them a ticket already.

  • Just posting these graphics here as took me too long to find (from back around page 23), for general reference only.

  • Anyone know approximately how many we and LO have sold?
  • Glad they sorted it out, when I asked Thursday night I was told it didn’t count.

Tried logging in with Chrome and Safari to buy a ticket with VG multiple times. Both MacBook and iPad. The restricted sale button isn't dark red.

    Restarted devices too.
If saying restricted sale it means your account is not season ticket holder or valley gold.

If you have valley gold before 30 April then contact tickets@cafc.co.uk by email asking them to link your valley gold and ticket accounts. Tell them your fan id and valley gold number.

once they have linked the account you should be able to get in
Thanks but it wasn't a problem buying my semi final ticket.
If you have logged in with your email address try logging in with your fanid

Thanks. I tried both and even changed my password.

I emailed the ticket office and surprisingly got a reply. My Valley Gold link is no longer there.

I replied with my membership number but await another response.

A very simple process. Logged on at 2pm. Was in the queue for about 3 mins. Had a scout round. Nothing in Cats 1-4 apart from singles here and there so bought in Cat 5 in block 552. Went onto seat view. Looks pretty good. Starting to get excited and nervous in equal measures

A big group of us are in that exact same block, split across a mixture of rows between 5-12. Tried for the middle tier but they were all gone, but i'm pretty happy with the view from there (and the tickets are cheaper) so can't complain.

Orient announced they’d sold 10,000 eight hours ago.

We haven’t announced anything, but I would guesstimate (based on most of the lower and middle tier now being down to single seats only) that we’ve sold around 25,000, but I’ve been known to be absolutely miles off on my estimates of attendances before, so take that into account!

No idea for us, but Orient posted this morning they'd sold 10k.

3 years ago, Sunderland v Wycombe.

"Sunderland received an initial allocation of 37,480 tickets for the final which was subsequently increased to 43,960 due to high demand. Wycombe Wanderers were initially given 19,205 tickets and applied for an extra allocation, eventually selling more than 22,000".

To be honest, an increased allocation for a play off final is going to be quite rare as in the Championship most clubs are big enough to sell 36k, and at our level there's not many clubs who can shift 36k to then require more.
