Another "Independent journo" with very few followers but it is a rumour.

Can't think of any songs for "Plange"

#CAFC looking to offer contract to Luke Plange, formerly released by #CPFC but face competition from Leyton Orient #LOFC ()
Absolutely not, he is dog shit.

Saw him play against Ilves twice last season for HJK; he was anonymous in both games. There's no way he's Championship quality. He struggled to get into double figures in the Veikkausliiga. 7 Goals in 36 games... and was effectively shut down by the Ilves defence in both games.
  • I’ve heard Galbraith mentioned a lot on here, is he 2025’s version of Andy Delort?
  • I feel at lot will depend on how much NJ believes he can rely on the U21s such as Asiimwe, Zak, Enslin, etc can provide effective cover.

If he thinks, for example, Asiimwe has learnt enough from his time with Walsall to be back up then we only need one right back such as Offiah.

There is also the question of whether Miles will be fit in time. Either way I think we need at least one or more likely two more front players and another  CB such as Famewo.

That makes five signings including Carey by my count as a minimum.

Pace in attacking areas is what we need most - cover for TC, a small replacement and also cover for that replacement
I’d see if Middlesbrough would loan out Micah Hamilton as he can’t get in that squad. Concern is that he couldn’t get in Stockport’s side this year, not sure if injured or not ready. Talent that has stalled since leaving City. Could cover one of our attacking roles and join the Jamaica boys.

Offiah potentially coming in likely sees Ramsay moving to RWB so looks like we’re going for more physicality than pace out wide w Edwards as well, Carey has got a bit of pace but still not his strongest attribute and NJ talked about him being a ball carrier and creating and scoring rather than adding pace showing he’s not focused on that aspect. Obviously depends on who we bring in upfront but I doubt we’re going to build around pace and just be a team of brutes. Would be shocked to see us not try and sign someone like the build of a Carlton Morris or a Kieffer Moore up top

I'd imagine that Ramsay would be the cover for Offiah (if he signs), and if OO is injured Ramsay just moves across with another centre back coming in. Asiimwe i think will be loaned out.

The problem we have in going up a division is that it probably makes it less likely for any of our kids to come in. Jones didn't fancy many of them at league one level so he's unlikely to risk them in the championship, and we also now (thank god) don't have the EFL trophy games to give them minutes, so at best i think Zak Mitchell will stay and i'd expect the likes of Asiimwe, Enslin, Mbick to be loaned out.
  • Ramsay is a better RCB than RWB as his strength is tackling / out muscling strikers.

When he played RWB he looked lost in the final third & was poor at crossing.

Hopefully OO will play the wing back role & Ramsay will stay in the position he performed so well in last season.
I don't disagree and of course the hope will be that OO (if he signs) plays the vast majority of our games.

But my point is just that i think it's more likely Ramsay covers there if he misses the odd game than it is us signing a Championship level RWB to sit on the bench every week. I just think we're more likely to utilise our budget in other areas than signing 2 RWB's, but let's see what happens.

The question would obviously be "what is his nickname going to be"

    Great Balls
    or
    Chariots
    Ring

Window shuts at 7pm today for a week, so would be nice if we announced something today 🤞
Doesn’t actually make much difference though, you can still make agreements to sign free agents etc you just can’t register them yet. We can’t register Carey yet either

Find it hard to believe that both Sean Roughan and Paudie O'Connor are gonna end up in League1 again with Huddersfield and Wycombe.

Especially O'Connor, we should be all over him if we persist with a back 5, he's literally Lloydys twin.

Just speculating but maybe O'Connor is aware he might not get much game time ahead of Jones. Obviously all players back themselves and love a challenge but plenty are realistic with this stuff too
I would say more so it's cause we probably aren't interested.

Which is a shame as he would probably start for us or at the very least be good cover in a championship squad. Him and Lloyd as 2 of your back 3 centre backs, good luck with any type of aerial threat.
Maybe get Piergianni in and complete the trio. :-)
One of the highest rated players in the league for the third successive season, imagine my shock.

Only Jones & O'Connor above him statistically for defenders. Piergianni is a top, top defender.
for a middling League 1 club
He is bang average.. honestly 2 years been going on about him. Yes, he wins his headers, but he is slow, passing isn’t great, and gets spun a lot.
Slow, passing isn’t great and gets spun a lot. Sounds like the good old days of Lavelle and OConnell.
Lavelle for me has to be one of our worst signings in recent times, he was awful! O'Connell was slow, but I thought he was half decent at passing.. Just watching the latest series of Welcome to Wrexham.. Blimey he made some errors for them last year..
  • Will that Kings of Leon song ‘Sex On Fire’ be adapted if Odeluga joins us?
  • Lavelle was disappointing because it looked like a strong signing on paper. He had just captained Morecombe back to League One.
Yep. I was pretty hopeful when we signed him.

He is 'leaving' Carlisle .. seems he is not required by a club newly relegated to the National League

That could potentially be down to reducing the wage bill?

He was club captain and his contract had expired so assume he probably has a better offer elsewhere.
