I'm more comfortable Lockyer coming back in a coaching/training capacity.
On the pitch? No thank you.
"Almost all forms of physical activities can be performed by patients with an ICD with moderation. All forms of sports that do not pose a risk of damaging the ICD or because of the underlying cardiomyopathy can be undertaken by the patient. Special care should be taken not to put excessive strain on the shoulder, arm and torso area where the ICD is implanted. Doing so may damage the ICD or the leads going from the ICD generator to the patient's heart. Particularly to be avoided are exercises that cause the clavicle to be pulled down towards the ribs, such as lifting weights with the arm, on the ICD site, while standing."
Surely he couldn't anyway with the physical nature of the sport and risk of damage to his ICD.
The plan was for Zach to go out on loan and it was fully anticipated he was going to have moved by now, then suddenly Alex goes and it’s now under the impression that Zach is staying. If we sign another centre back, that might change. If not, I believe Zach is staying put.
The RWB looks like it will 100% happen, the Zach out and a new cb in seems like a 50/50 something we would want to do but may not be viable unless all the starts align

I’m sure that the risks have been explained to him and also that his medical team are happy that the risk involved isn’t significant enough to deny Tom the chance of resurrecting his career.
Ronnie Edwards might be a shout, QPR have had an offer rejected maybe we can put a proposal together?
Be surprised if he doesnt cost a fair amount given Southampton spent £3m in 2024, and on a four year deal.
He's also the type of player I doubt will want to join as he'll have Ramsay / Jones ahead of him in the pecking order, so doubt the board will want to waste a couple of million on an individual who isn't going to be a guaranteed starter.

But it wouldn’t surprise me if we loaned out Zach and brought in a CB as well.

We have weakened ourselves with Alex leaving for the season, so need a good backup.

Was a standout in the Plymouth team that got promoted out of L1. 86 apps across two seasons in the Championship with them since.
