They are still pushing hard for one more, expecting this to happen but have not heard it is Fukuda. Doesn’t mean it won’t happen, just I haven’t been told that.
Have you been told a name (not expecting you to say) or are you guessing slightly that it isn’t Fukuda?

Shame...I think that's twice he's injured himself on a game he has scored!

Part of me feels like we don't really need JRS back as we are quite well stocked for decent forwards. But then I watched his 2023/24 highlights reel again as was reminded of what he could do and how much more of a goal scorer he is than, say, TC (whose place he would probably take in the team). I wonder if he can match the physical intensity and pressing that NJ wants. If he can do that and can reproduce the kind of attacking form and moments of brilliance that he showed when here on loan before, then he could be an icing on the cake type signing in the way Kermorgant was for Powell.

Not going to get my hopes up, but would love to see it come off. Perhaps one to be complete late(ish) on deadline day if/when Palace decide they're not going to be able to move him on permanently.
  • Cawley has said that if JRS was available on loan we'd be interested but that isn't exactly news I don't think

His defensive stats from Sheffield united last season actually don’t look that bad tbf, seems to have developed that as well as the physical side of his game. We’re still looking for a RWB wouldn’t be shocked if the Plan was to try get JRS as an alternative for Apter instead of Fukuda and then integrate Asiimwe when both loans are up at us and Wimbledon next year

One has to factor in bigger teams coming in for our players in January and the summer.
If we make a fist of this season that is going to happen.
