With Asiimwe going out on loan what will that mean for a search for another RB/RWB?
Director of Football, Craig Cope, added: “Nathan has been a target for us for much of the summer. Although the deal has happened quite late, we agreed everything early with Charlton and it was just a case of them letting him out at the right time. We’re really excited that he’s joining us. He’ll fit very nicely into our squad.”

Think it will be the same with Kanu next week , waiting on Godden's fitness and getting Kelman in the building should release Kanu to go on loan next week.

Reckon we go back in for Fukuda upon seeing Lembikisa up close, he doesn't cut the mustard
I would be surprised if we spend 800k on a player when we can just wait till January to get him for free
That said if Jones wants him and thinks he's crucial, it ain't my money and I would like us to sign him.
I said before we could probably manage without a rwb, but his efforts could be the difference in relegation or staying up by the end of the season. 24 games and 72 points to play for until then, over half the season.

Harvey Knibbs was definitely training with some of the team after the ipswich game last night - listening to Rich's post match interview in his podcast in the background you can hear instructions being shouted to Josh Edwards and Harvey Knibbs - media and announcement very soon i'd say

Lovely story this mate but unfortunately none of it happened apart from Josh Edwards
The shout was probably something like "Hard in, Ibs!" And because it's in the background and NJ is speaking over it, people are putting 2 and 2 together and getting Harvey Knibbs randomly taking part in the post match cool down despite not actually being presented as a Charlton player yet

You know as well as anyone that free transfers are not free. Once he is a free agent there will be competition for his services and the figures will approach, or might even exceed, 800K in signing-on fee and enhanced wages.
Our savings between signing now or waiting will be relatively small, and there is a sizable chance we could miss out altogether with the window closing and we have to go back a Tennai Watson equivalent.
Finally Fukuda might be more motivated in we move in decisively rather than get ensnared in two months of haggling.
In my mind Knibbs is done, too much smoke around him and people who have been right so far saying it's done. We're just waiting for the reveal, maybe he will be revealed with the third kit.
I am waiting on the gossip for the next one in now.

Love the idea that Knibbs had to sit in the dressing room until all the fans were gone just so he could do some running on the Colchester pitch that he could easily have done in the morning at SL

I thought I heard the same when I listened to it.
Yes at 10:35 VT time of his podcast - Rich's interview would have been late and all the fns would have been stuck in the colchester car park for an hour
Greatest respect to Knibbs there’s a reason we were looking at signing him. I get Selles is his old manager but seriously there’s no way Knibbs is anywhere near good enough to fit into that side in any capacity. If he was Sheffield united standard the whole championship would be looking at him for 1.8M can’t see it happening I’m hesitant on the delay myself but I’m not worried it has anything to do with going to Sheffield united

All easy for me to write. It ain't my money!

This fella is a massive fucking tool so I'm not sure how much I trust him, but it's weird timing
