How is not sending it on time even a thing in a professional club especially one of any repute? does it get to five to, the person who’s job it is decides to have a quick cuppa then loses track of time?
Maybe Chelsea had bigger deals they prioritised and only let us know at 18.59, giving us 60 seconds to complete and send a form? Who knows. Just because something doesn't happen in time, doesn't make it a Charlton employees fault.
Please don’t automatically pile blame on anyone at Charlton. I genuinely don’t think we had as much time to get this done as everyone thinks. Also wouldn’t doubt for a second that Chelsea drug their feet
What will the player do now, must be quite disappointing for them
Really vital stage of his career and if it has come down to timing, ultimately either he or Chelsea are the ones that have messed it up by changing between Preston, Celtic and Us.
The way it's worded is ambiguous, we could have got the sheet in, in time but not work out the details with Chelsea (remember they like loan fees and guarantees on games played etc ) too early to say it was our cock up IMO
I don’t know where the blame lies with that transfer, but while I’m more disappointed Fofana didn’t go through, it does appear that there was an incredible amount of late wheeling and dealing across football today, with many deals being announced late

unless there’s any free agents?
EDIT: wouldn’t say no to Patrick Bamford or kelechi iheanacho
